Rodgers has 11 TDs and 10 INTs with an 87 QBR in games where the final margin was 0-7 points. 1 TD and 1 INT with an 85.6 QBR in 4th QTR +/- 7 points. 3 TDs and 2 INTs with a 78.5 QBR in the final 2 minutes in a half.

For those wondering, Cutler has 17 TDs and 7 INTs with a 99.3 rating in games with a final margin of 0-7 points (4 of those INTs coming in one game). He has 5 TDs and 2 INTs with a 100.5 QBR (2nd in NFL) in 4th QTR +/- 7 points. He has 6 TDs and 2 INTs with a 115 QBR (leads NFL) in the final two minutes of a half.

I took that data from my bears board. Unreal how much flack Cutler gets despite stats like these from nfl.com

Maybe he's just too "pouty"

BS

In the Not Very Long league, the question is "What have you done for me lately?"

Bobby Douglas was better than Bob Avelenni.

Wow, you guys really need to define "better", better.

From Luckman to MacMahon to Cutler, the in-between dry spells have been hard on the eyes.

Well, I guess so. He's finally had a winning season. Only took him 9 years to do it, too - 4 years in college and 5 years in the NFL!
That a boy, Hang with Cutler. I love hearing the Favre comparisons.

Do you think his INT's are down because he's fumbled 10 times and has lost 6?? Sounds like he may have attended the Daunte Culfumblers school of how to advance to the UFL.

From here? Lots of good stuff in that thread.

I have no idea where those numbers came from and neither do you. I credit the poster who did ask for a source.

Hmmmmmmm yes Joe, let's think real hard of exactly why that Chicago Bear fan asked for a link in that thread.

They're just the stats from this year. 7 point or less games 11 TDs, 10 INTs (Eagles, Lions x2, Queens @Lambeau, Bears, Redskins, Dolphins, Falcons). Games decided by more than 7 points, 16 TDs, 0 INTs.

Until they win a few more games that are close he will continue to have that reputation. Not saying it's fair.

My comment was really directed more at the obscure passer rating stats he provided and the fact that he sourced from another BB.

I don't disagree with that at all. The QB is ultimately judged by the wins and losses regardless of the circumstances.
I'm encouraged by these arguments coming from Bear fans. The 3 arguments none of these fans are making, including DeepChicago:

1. The Bears are better than the Packers
2. The Bears will beat the Packers
3. Cutler is better than Rodgers

I can't find one Bear fan that believes any of these.
Ya, before they had a running game he was on pace for 30 interceptions. And he still tries to throw it to the defense. Can't count the number of dropped int's on both hands.

Let's see all the folly in this thread thus far in one post.

1. "Cutlers going to the hall of fame." Never said that, but from reading these boards you're all ready annoit AR and there's a chance you won't even be in the playoffs. That's two of three years since he's been starting, correct? Maybe Rodgers should focus more on trying to win the game in the 4th quarter and less about who he's going to get a golden shower from.

2. Gravedigger thinks having a 5% overall record is more important than a situational/4th quarter stats. 5%. I would rather take the guy going to the playoffs who's proven more in crunch time that Rodgers ever has. Get real, gravedigger. I think Rodgers is great, but come on man!

3. He finally had a winning season. Yep, can't argue this one. We're going to the playoffs. Woo-hoo!

4. Favre comparisons and Fumbles. I never said Cutler didn't have his struggles there, little guy. I posted stats about our two QB's in the 4th quarter.

5. Deangelo Hall disagrees. Everyone has a bad game from time to time, right?

6. Pointing our Rodgers stats is akin to saying Colt McCoy is awesome. Only on this board.

As far as the stats provided, the O.P. usually gets his stuff from nfl.com. My apologies if they are not accurate in any way.
I didn't know that Jay Cutler was so bad in the red zone!

Cutler inside opponent's 20 yard line:

78.8 QBR 15 TD 3 INT 51.8 % completion

Rodgers:
107.1 QBR 18 TD 1 INT 65.7% completion

See, two can play at that game.

Those stats are a lot closer than the ones I posted.

Either way, Jay needs to help the team win a playoff game before I will start proclaiming him our savior. I did that when he was signed and look what it got me!
Of course Rodgers threw 16 TD and 0 INT in blowout wins. That's why the games were blowouts. How does that make him compare unfavorably to anyone? Would it make you feel better if he threw a few picks in a blowout win?

Wait, so, it's folly to make definitive statements about Colt McCoy on 25 passing, yet perfect cool to make definitive statements about Aaron Rodgers on 47 passes?

Oh wait, the first doesn't fit your narrative, the second does.

Got it.
