Just a bit of difference drafting a qb when Favre is 41 and 99.9% likely to be in his last season, than drafting one when hes got six years left in his career.
And picks up an additional 4th round pick.
I came to give you some fresh water and some kibble. Are you okay snook'ems?

Henry is just jealous, BTW. Piss off, Henry.
Enabling is not a healthy behavior. Besides, I didn't banish Capt. Federalist. In fact, several of his real football takes I agree with. It's the dual personality crap that rubs me wrong. The bert love is a farce among others. He gushes about Rodgers on his own board.
Set these idiots on the main board straight. Yea, they are really afraid of picking a qb to develop when their starting qb is 41 and in his last season. And B. probably ARE going to pick a qb. They just shrewdly traded back to do it. And now are in a position both to get their qb of the future and a bunch of other players.
reminder: I was at the forefront telling people Marshawn Lynch was a thug and was called an idiot.

Sorry, the Stockholm Syndrome kicked in again.
Think I might go for a swim and get my thoughts ready for day 2.
Also, a clarification. Before you try to needle me by saying Clausen or McCoy sucks. I don't care. Once Favre retires after this year the Vikings can fold for all I care. I hope they are busts.

If I were the Vikings would take Everson Griffen
Fiber.
First two day thoughts:
Packers: Baluga was a decent pick because he was expected to go higher. Only danger here is he could end up not being able to hack it at LT and moved to RT.
Neal could be too much of a need pick. They are having to throw a lot of resources at the line. Harrell a bust. Raji drafted high to paly nt. Then re-sign Pickett basically making Raji a backup nt that gets a few snaps at de. Jolly has probs, Jenkins is good but injury history.
Burnett - seeems like a good prospect but also had to give up a 4th for him to trade up.
So I would say decent so far but only 4 picks left and none in the 4th. TT really needs to hit on one of those picks and find a gem or this draft could end up being too ordinary.
Vikings- glad they didnt take a qb becuase it would do nothing to help the team this year. Cook is a bit of a need pick but adding a 6'2'' cb is prob smart in this day and age and could use him to defend Finlay at times.
Gerhart could really lay on a defense once Peterson wears them down.
6 picks left for the Vikings.
Eagles - Love the Graham pick. Love the Allen pick. Add a boom or bust pass rusher.
9 picks left including three 4ths to maneuver to get more players they want.

Happy?
Yes, pairied with Allen will give a nice pass rushing combo.
Grades:
Eagles A-
Vikings B-
Packers C They filled some needs and added some depth but its pretty underwhelming group. Didn't come out of it with an olb, cb, develpmental qb.

Do you believe a draft can be graded on day one?
At least initially. I don't like that they only had three picks in the first 4 rounds and it just seems like an ordinary group.
If Bulaga turns out to be a capable LT and Newhouse becomes the next Earl Dotson, then the stock of this draft goes way up.

I am concerned about the CB draft. Too bad we couldn't fill that need with this draft.

More dum.
Yep, lots of missed games.
Yes Goaline I thought they would grab one somewhere. But right now I'm trying to figure out how many times I'd have to hit myself in the head before I was as dumb as people like TD and coach.
I thought the way the draft would play out is they would have went cb if Hughes wasn't there. Then in the second an olineman.
Concerns about the team:
Olb - I think there is hope for guys like Jones and Obidizer but a lot this year will be telling whether Jones is a player or basically just handed a position like Will Whittaker. Adding Hughes or better yet Graham would have made me feel alot better.
CB - As far as I'm concerned I don't expect much out of Harris, Lee, Blackmon, Bush. That basically leaves other than Woodson, Williams who would ideally be a nickel, and Underwood who is an unknown.
DE and NT - I just think they have thrown too much money at these positions. Raji should be the starter and they could have maybe used Picketts money on a FA end. Then in the draft grab a widebody or cheaper vet like Grady to be the backup.
Oline - It still pisses me off they let Meredith go to keep the bums they did. Now just a year later its a near sure thing that guys like Breno and Barbre are probaly gone.
I think Baluga, Sitton, Lang are the keepers. I drop Spitz off that list for now because of injury probs he had last season. Baluga ideally would be a dominant LT but I get the feeling hes going to be pretty Backus-like.

Where would he play? More dum. Those dents still haven't healed from the fall no?
Gee I wonder, one of the tackle spots.
Maybe with he and Baluga they would be set with their tackles instead of having to trot out over the hill Clifton and Tausher because TT and MM have no feel for offensive line talent. His decision to give Barbre the RT job turned out to be a real gem.

And how did Tauscher do last year when he came back?
BTW, why do you even bother when you are a Vikings and Eagles fan?

Bottom line is Meredith is a far better prospect than the guys they are holding on to. He started 4 games last year for Buffalo and didn't embarass himself.
I'm a Favre and Kolb fan.

Starting in Buffalo. And so was Brohm. You have a point?
Point is the guy is a good tackle prospect, and instead kept Barbre who probably cost two games and almost got the qb killed, Breno who will probably be released, and three fullbacks.
I hate Rodgers, really I do, but I was concerned that Meredith wasn't there to watch him pile up gaudy numbers even though I'm a BertVajeen and KolbEagles fan first.
None of this should explain why I've become a parody of myself.

Enjoy it, Mark!
I'm guessing a 12 pack of Schmidt's Gay helps him keep up with his contemporaries.
Great swim, helped worked off the two waffle cones loaded with chocolate brownie ice cream. Now time to throw the ball around outside and soak up more rays.

Raji is not ready to be the starting NT. That is not a surprise. It typically takes the best NT's a couple of years to "get it". People underestimate the difficulty of that position.

I think it was the non-racially pure ice cream that's getting to him.

From all my trips to San Antonio, Mark. I specialize in photographing dinks who suck off the public teet while squeezing out burrito farts. I also know how you like brown people, so I figured you'd maybe recognize a few of them.
confining icon to this small corner of the world has worked better than I could have ever imagined. Locked up here has made our little Elmyr de Hory very entertaining. And it has also helped Goalline escape his shell.
I hate shells.
