Too bad for Hackett.
I don't think he realized the bucket of shit he was stepping into in Denver.
He may or may not have been "ready" to be a HC, but the odds of him being immediately successful were stacked against him.

Maybe he can commiserate with Aaron over some ayahuasca...

It certainly looked like a good job at the time he was hired. An elite defense and a HOF QB. Russell Wilson sucked.

He’s a shitty coach. Not surprised it didn’t work out for him in Denver.

His hiring is more evidence that the Donkeys were all in on an AR trade. Too bad they were unable to pull it off.

It wasn't just that Wilson played horribly, although that was tops, but it was some of the decisions he made during games that really showed he was not ready to be an HC. When fans start counting down the play clock, you know you're in over your head.

Wonder what his financial kiss goodbye is worth.

Getting a HC gig is winning the lottery. If you win, everybody loves you. If you fail miserably, you get sent home and then paid millions to do nothing for at least a couple years.

Has any coach that ever worked with Rodgers in Green Bay done well anywhere else? Hackett, McAdoo, Philbin. Did any ever make the playoffs?

In contrast, assistant coaches that worked with Favre were incredibly successful: Andy Reid, Gruden, and Mariucci, among others, all had playoff success.

I think that's more of a reflection on the HC and not so much the players.

In spite of a short tenure, Holmgren was a generational coach, certainly the best since Lombardi. So his assistants having success is not surprising.
MM was the next best, but he wasn't in the same league as far as choosing or developing assistant coaches, much less preparing them for advancement.
MLF doesn't have enough years in to include him in my comparison, but early returns say he is much closer to MM than Holmgren.

JMHO.
