Janis isn't ambiturnal, so his career as a male model might not work unless he can develop a signature look.
Janis is what he is: a WR that can do about five things at an NFL level: 9 route, hail mary, end around, punt return gunner and kickoff returner. If he stays around the vet minimum, I have no problem keeping him around. But if someone offers him anything more, a la Tennessee's contract to Jarret Bush in restricted free agency, let him go.
Sounds like they'll be without Jordy against Dallas. Big loss but one they can overcome. Allison and Adams on the outside, Cobb in the slot and Cook at TE should give Aaron enough weapons to hang 30+ on their defense.
Unless I missed it, anyone have an update on Martinez? Would be nice to go three deep at ILB against Dallas' running game.

So they are contesting that the Giants trashed the plane. OJB punched a hole in the wall at Lambeau - that is a documented fact. Why wouldn't they trash the interior of a plane?
BTW, I wonder if GB sends the repair bill to the Giant organization.

yeah I love how hard he runs. I wonder if Ty Moves back to WR and let Michael run the f'in ball
YATittle posted:DEFINITELY need Pennel....
No more Pennel as the Pack waived him. I thought he would be a fresh guy on the DL in the play offs for GB. I guess being suspended twice in a season has it's drawbacks.
And the Pack has moved beyond Abby (and all his injuries) this season as well. When I think about it, Allison (an undrafted FA) has moved past Abby, Janis, and Davis for playing time. That is taking advantage of the opportunity.

MM seemed pretty adamant that Monty was now a full time RB.
Having him put more in more snaps at WR wouldn't change that.
Read McGinn's review of the game and Allison (41 snaps) was open a lot but Rodgers wasn't looking his way. Hope that continues to happen, as Cobb and Adams were open enough to get a lot of targets....
I completely forgot about this story re James Jones: JJ played with broken ribs
The ability to play obviously depends on other facts re the breaks: severity, location, risk of internal complications, etc. Given that it involves Jordy, I don't question his tolerance for pain at all - he's as tough as they get.
I'm not counting on it, but maybe there's a chance Jordy plays. If not this week, perhaps the following week if we advance.
I read he's possible for CCG....
C'mon MM....Unless his life is in danger, he needs to be at least a decoy on the field. Even with fractured ribs, he'll probably still draw double coverage
Rodgers even mentioned Geronimo in the Post game even though he didn't throw to him. He must have been running the right routes to draw coverage.
There are comments out there from review of the tape that Geranimo was often open. AR just didn't look to him. That's fine. Go with the proven vets first.
I know we let Abbrederis go due to health reasons. Today, Detroit picked up Abbrederis, Kennard Backman(TE) and Matt Rotherman(G). All former Packers plus a slew of other players.
To be the man, you gotta beat the man.
Or to keep them from being injury replacements if things get gnarly here in the playoffs.
Who are Kyle Steuck, Jesse Schmitt, Manao Pikula, and Josh James?
Practice Squaders I believe. Don't know why they're listed on the injury report?
They all were injury settlements in the spring/summer.
Any word on Rollins?
Monday - McCarthy talks to the press, but hasn't met with the training staff yet so he can't give an update on any players. Also tells the press that they need to ask the player for any specifics on said players injury.
Tuesday - no presser
Wednesday - And this is new this year, McCarthy talks to the press before practice and has no updates on the injured players since they are all in getting treatment before heading out to practice.
Wednesday - first injury report for the week is due to the league office. Since there is no longer a Probable designation, most players are listed as Questionable, which means they have anywhere from a 50% to 95% chance to play.
Thursday - no presser
Friday - Again, McCarthy talks to the press before practice. Says little more than player 'A' or player 'B' did this or that yesterday so we'll see how they come out of that today. Players are in with the trainers getting treatments before practice.
=>Rinse and repeat.

eh...I have a hard time believing that he stays back there in the long run( pun intended). Did he say it in the context of the upcoming game? Then I can see it
88 in the backfield appears to be a stopgap solution. Hes a great with the ball in his hands, but just looks like a natural WR.
Either way, hes a great asset to the offense and we can do some tricky things with him. good thing is that he is built like a tank so he can withstand and even dish out some punishment
Plus he said that before Michael started catching on and before Jordy went down.
We'll definitely see. I just like the sound of Michael at RB and Monty in the slot, for a few plays anyway.

Green Bay made the move official this week, although according to Mike McCarthy, it has been that way for a while.
"Ty Montgomery is a running back," McCarthy said. "So I don't know where that gets lost. But, Ty, he's a running back. I apologize for not making an announcement. He hasn't gone to a receiver meeting in months."
