They have to make a change. Hopefully Gennett provide a boost.
Well, I dropped Rickie from my fantasy team so he should break out any day now. He had a homer last night so that should be the start of it.
Gosh, Al made a great comment this morning about giving Rickie some time at 1B. I'm sure several saw this before I did but I didn't see it posted anywhere.
All I know, if I don't have to view another Francisco AB I will be a happy fowl.

Al has the market cornered on dumb**** ideas
Was that a dumb idea or are you just following the narrative and not allowing yourself to form a reasonable opinion all by your lonesome?
I'll make it easy for you. Now, rather have a platoon of?
Yuni/Francisco
Weeks/Francisco

So, you think moving him to a totally new position wouldn't affect his hitting, after finally breaking out of his funk? ![crazy](http://timesfour.com/x4graemlins/icon_crazy.gif)

I think playing him against pitchers he is historically successful against and LHP is fine by me. Gotta keep those PAs down too.
We've seen enough now with Rickie to know that 1) he's striking out at an alarming rate, and 2) he might not be 100% healthy. Or maybe he's just not as good as we all think he was or could be.
He's not been the same player since he came back from the ankle injury in 2011. That being said, he's a career .248 hitter which maybe is what it is. 2010 was his best year and he's been on a downward trend since then.
I really think that Melvin became enamored with his power potential and that's why he's stuck around. The problem is even that ability has fallen off quite a bit.
Don't know if Gennett is the long term answer or not, but at a minimum Rickie should be splitting time with him.

I can't see moving him to first now being a good idea, unless they see him taking over at first next year, which would also be a bad idea.

second best hitter in baseball this month (had to set PA's @ 50)
his crappy year comes to an end. I'm guessing getting that option to vest is going to be tough.
Now Yuni can help us get to the #3 pick!
