With the latest update, will be surprised if AR does not play.

Then again, if you are hoping for a higher draft pick, a broken, injured and immobile 39 year old QB is probably exactly who you want playing.

Maddening...

Yeah, it's cool the Packers are "owned by the fans," but the structure is not conducive to holding people accountable.

Packers fans were absolutely spoiled by having one of the top 10 all time sports executives in Bob Harlan at the helm for 20 years. He was a Packer to the core, and took everything personally. He was concerned with one thing...making the Packers into champions every year. He was not afraid to put the pressure on when it was needed, but was hands-off enough to let the football guys do the football things.

Murphy is a fucking clown...he inherited a well oiled machine of a franchise and though I wouldn't say "run it into the ground," it's not nearly what it was from a football perspective than when he took over.

All Green Bay has to attract top free agents is football excellence. They ain't coming for the weather. They ain't coming for the night life. And they sure as hell ain't coming for the smow hill. Murphy took the football for granted and focused his attention on real estate development.

The Packers Bored needs to take this shit seriously or it will be the 1970's all over again. Whoever they get to replace Murphy had best be a football-first person that runs the organization as such.

Not sweating it in the least...after Sunday night I truly believe they will pick up 10's 5th year option.

Like it or not, it's Gurt and MLF's ship to sail or run into an iceberg. It's unfortunate both men seem incapable of making tough decisions. Maybe they're convinced this team is closer to winning a title than the rest of us.

But in their defense, this isn't an exact science. After 2020 the question for most people wasn't "when will KC and Mahomes win another Super Bowl?" it was "How many Super Bowls will they win?"

Mahomes was young, surrounded by talent and great coaching...and Mahomes is older and more experienced...could he still win another Super Bowl? Absolutely, but it doesn't seem as certain as before.

We don't have the answers...but there are some things that are pretty fucking obvious that need change. Yeah, ST have had their gaffes under Bisaccia, but they have also had some big successes...something the Packers haven't seen in years. Progress has been made. I am happy with the hire.

I can even be convinced the offense isn't that far away, and really has suffered mostly from poor OL play, some because of poor talent, but some because our two best OL are still recovering from injuries.

If Gurt wants to win, he needs to man up, get rid of Barry and then spend some of that draft capital and upgrade WR, TE and RT...maybe via trade. All options need to be on the table.

In July, when Murphy made it official that his retirement date is 7/13/25, he also said the Board had already started the process to replace him.

So who?

I recall reading an article that speculated either Eliot Wolf or Dawn Aponte could be in the discussion.

I wouldn't be surprised if McCarthy threw his hat in the mix. After Dallas fails to win the Owl this year, and then have an inevitable decline in '23, I can see Ol' yella teeth firing Mike.

Ed Policy has a real shot...

I dig his bona fides...his dad was a very good NFL exec

I can't think of who they'd extend. Gary is too early and we will want a huge contract. Hmm...

Curious, who are we supposed to despise more, the Bears or the queens??  Or both?      I actually hate the queens more as I have to live among them.  πŸ€¬ 🀬 🀬

Da Bears. This isn't even a question.

If you really hate the queens more than you'll be happy to know nothing makes them madder than when you say the Bears are our real rival.  The only thing Queens fans hate more than the Packers is Packer fans not hating them back.

Oh man, it would be awesome to see a healthy Doubs and Watson on the field together. Haven't had more than a handful of snaps like that this year.

I’ve gone in phases in terms of which team I’ve disliked more, Bears or Vikings.

In the β€˜80s disliked the Bears much more.  I didn’t hate the Vikes in the 80s at all to be honest.  In the β€˜90s the pendulum swung the other way and I’ve disliked the Vikes more from the Dennis Green era and beyond.

I’ll admit that I respect the Vikings of the Bud Grant era and while I hated the Bears of the 80s, I do admire just how tough and physical they were in the prime Ditka years.  Payton, Singletary, Covert, etc. Hated how great they were, but they were tough as hell and I had a grudging admiration for them.

Was pretty funny to see Steve McMichael and Jim McMahon end up as Packers after rooting against them as Bears.

The Queens for sure. I have some grudging respect for the Bears and their history but absolutely none for the Queens. Hate when GB has to play in that stadium with that f'ing horn....f'ing hate that f'ing horn!

Exactly.  The Vikings are to the Packers as the Brewers are to the Cubs.   We so desperately want to be their rival but history and tradition won’t allow it.  It always has been and it always will be Cubs / Cardinals and Packers / Bears.
