Ok I have jinxed the Packers and there is no longer a need to continue this thread as I just decided to go the game. Every few years I go to a Packers - Bears game at Lambeau and the Packers always lose. Every stinking time (I still have nightmares of the Walter Payton memorial game) and I always tell myself never a Bears game and I keep doing it. I will accept all the hate this will bring me but I am a masochist.

wed be up 2 games with 2 to play, and would own the tie breaker based on division record
There's a 2% chance of the Packers missing the playoffs entirely even if they win Sunday and the Vikings lose.
I hope nothing is clinched come Sunday night. I want the Rams to beat the Cowboys and keep hot on the tail of the Vikings.
hmm i was wrong , division record would be tied in that scenario and we would lose out on third tie breaker, conf record. ok, nothing officially clinched (except butt cheeks) Sunday
I agree with JSO that the next three games (barring the loins game being meaningless) are really the start of our playoffs. I understand, that for now, none of these games are must win, however; a loss this week would have tremendous impact on the rest of the season. It would keep shitcago in the playoff hunt, it allows the queens to catch up with us, and it basically wipes out any chance for a bye week. Despite all of the worry about the offense, the onus is on our defense to shut down shitcago. I don't see us scoring a ton of points, but the defense needs to make sure that we don't need that many to win.

That's the most hate I can give. 😆
We could lose 2 out of three or 3 of the next three or win out.
Just can't see them losing all 3. Losing 2 out of 3 is possible as Bears are getting some players back & Vikings are always tough at home.
Can't see them losing to the Lions but stranger things have happened.
11-5 is nearly 99% assured.
It all starts with beating the Bears.
Beat. The. Bears. Into. Submission.

Oh you are as much of a jinx as I am. I have seen the Packers play in many places and I think out of the 15 or so games I have seen they have won maybe 3 or 4 times.
I personally think the game this week is the season that is how critical I think it is. They have to win to put pressure on the spermheads.
Tom Oates: Packers' offensive line needs to step up vs. Bears
In games where the Packers have struggled the most, there is a common theme: They faced a defense with a tough, physical, aggressive front that dominates the line of scrimmage and has outstanding edge rushers who can help the defense get to the quarterback without resorting to blitzing.
The Bears defense fits that description perfectly, which is why the outcome of Sunday’s game won’t depend on LaFleur or Rodgers or Jones. Instead, the game will be decided by the play of the Packers offensive line.
If you look at those games though, it wasn't solely the offensive line that struggled. AR has to help his OL out and give them some confidence. If he's dancing around all day then he's just inviting trouble.
This cracked me up. I wish the NFL would make raw audio of players being mic'd up available. Obviously it's edited down to a hilarious extent, I'd like to hear the bullshit that is said on the field though.
Urlacher/Bears came up with dirty checks to counter Packers offense
Packers 4-0 when Jones has 20 or more touches - 6-3 otherwise
I do think this is more a matter of Jones affecting the outcome of the game and not the score of the game dictating more touches. He was a big part of the reason why these games were won.
They have done a great job of managing Jones' load this year but I think for at least the next two weeks there should be an effort to get him at least 20-25 touches. The screen game and quick passes will negate the Bears and Vikings pass rush.
Every #Packers player practicing today except TE Marcedes Lewis (stationary bike) and Josh Jackson (personal).

Personal for Jackson is his father's funeral and Lewis is likely just getting veteran rest.

I have seen 3 Packer games in Lambeau. First was October 12, 2003, a 40-34 loss to the Chiefs. Chiefs may have been undefeated at the time. Pack got it to OT (they had some unlucky bounces of the ball resulting in them falling behind early). Ahman Green fumbled and the next play was something like a 70 yard TD bomb.
Radio guys on the ride home from the game said it was probably the most crushing regular season loss they could think of.
The middle one was awesome. Vikes tied it late with two scores. Pack made a FG as time expired. Third one was a loss to Carolina where two times in a row (last two drives) Carolina completed long passes to Steve Smith who was a beast that day. Tough close loss.

Defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano tells us that everyone's belief is that Bears DL Akiem Hicks will try and play on Sunday vs. Green Bay.
— Jeff Dickerson (@DickersonESPN) December 12, 2019
#Bears CB Prince Amukamara (hamstring) had full participation in practice today.
— Brad Biggs (@BradBiggs) December 11, 2019
Missing practice:
LB Danny Trevathan
WR Taylor Gabriel
TE Ben Braunecker
WR Javon Wims
DL Roy Robertson-Harris
Per Dickerson, same guys who didn't practice Wednesday were the same ones today.
Almost a lock King was a given a week off knowing he'd play this week. They didn't need him to beat a terrible Skins team.
After being a bit of a surprise inactive last week after he was a full participant in practice last Friday, CB Kevin King (shoulder) appears on track to play Sunday vs. Chicago.

stop the run, accept trubinsky's gifts, merry christmas win
How much did the Packers' offensive line struggle in the opener? Aaron Rodgers was sacked five times. Aaron Jones rushed for only 39 yards. https://t.co/zA55gcLr3H

Wonder if the Bears got credentialed by the Redskins to film an advanced scouting technique for their in house production show?

Madden simulation on The Fan had the Packers winning this game. Jones had over 100 yards rushing and caught a TD pass along with Robert Tonyan.
Oh and a catch for 5 yards for MVS. The deep threat!!
No sense playing it then, more time to frost cookies.

Hope some of that 55 rubs off on 90.
They should do this once a week. And then the challenge for whoever wore #55 is to play more like #55 that Sunday.
They were worried Kraft Productions was in the building.
