- The Bills have a potent pass rushing D
- They're coming off a game in which the refs allegedly gave the Broncos a win
- They also have Kyle Orton as their best passer
- Dom Capers sucks
I'll be at this game, which means Bills win 78-1!!!

The Pack is going to have to play a different style of offense in this one. Need to focus on getting the ball out quickly as I don't believe they'll let Rodgers extend plays like he can vs. lesser defenses at Lambeau.
Defensively, Orton is good enough to shred them if the Pack gives the same level of pass rush they gave tonite. Let's just hope the 2nd half was a fluke and the Pack can get things back in order on D again.
This will be a good test for our Oline and a good warm up for Seattle as they are similar.
For effort...
Keep rolling to the playoffs!
That must be one of Rusty's tests.
Given Julio's ability to work over the Packer secondary I have to wonder what Sammy Watkins will do to them. Don't think Orton is quite as good as Ryan but it is a cause for concern.
Double cover Watkins. He usually gets one or two big plays a game so if they can hold him to that, there's no need to panic. Woods and Hogan are pretty good but I think House and Hayward can handle them fine.
Handling the Bills defensive line is the key to this game. They had no sacks against Denver, and they'll be playing back at home stoked by their crowd. The noise may hinder AR's ability to communicate at the line. Jerry Hughes is having a monster contract year, and Kyle Williams, Marcel Darius and Mario Williams are all beasts. It's a really tough front to run against. Rodgers' arm is going to have to win this game, and he is going to need time in the pocket to do so. I'm not feeling good about this game.
They are going to need to establish the running game and be patient with it. The equivalent is to dump off the outlet passes to the backs. The most important thing will be to slow their pass rush.
Let's see what Dom comes up with for adjustments on defense. If Sammy Watkins goes Julio Jones on them, I would seriously question Dom's ability to be a competent DC ever again.
Orton was the QB that ended their perfect season in 2011 in Kansas City. He'll be patient, take what the defensive scheme gives him, and keep them in the game. In other words, he's the anti-Cutler.
Th Bills losing last week was big. If they were at 5 losses they would be right in the middle of the wild card race. Maybe with 6 losses and 4 teams ahead of them for the last spot now, they lose a little desire to compete.
A former student of mine, Colton Schmidt, is the Bills punter. Great guy. Has been jockeying for years to be one of the 32 punters in the league after a successful college career at UC-Davis and a couple pre-season stints with the Niners. Lived at home last season and spent all day training, helped my high school's kickers as a volunteer coach.
I hope to see a lot of Colton Schmidt this weekend.
Cool background info.
RODGERS on AJ Hawk: âHeâs been dealing with a body that hasnât been responding as well as he wanted to at times this year.â
is that a polite way of saying Hawk is slow?
Not 100% healthy?
Father Time taking its toll?
Playing in cement can do that to a body. Perhaps that's what AR meant about AJ.
BTW, Wilde made a comment on ARs show that with a win @ Buff, GB would lock up a playoff berth. Can anyone confirm that? He didn't mention any particular team needing to lose in order for that to happen.
So 11 wins gets us in?
According to the ESPN Playoff Machine, 11 wins gets the Packers no worse than the 6th seed.

I hope he punts a lot.
I hope he shanks a lot of punts.

Orton isn't very good, but similar to Colin Kaepernick, he seems to overachieve against the Packers. I only recall the Packers beating Orton once, and that was when he was with Denver with 2011 and the Pack scored like 48 points against them. Orton was then cut, and beat the Packers later in the year as the QB for Kansas City.
The loser of this weekends DAL/PHI game could end up 11-5 and miss the playoffs. GBP are in with 11 wins.
Scott Chandler is a key to this game & stopping the run
WHO????
Buffalo TE. He's dangerous
When Barrington sees it & hits it..He can be productive player. Those tackles will go from 4-5yds downfield to 2-3yds
0 replies 0 retweets 0 favoritesI see hesitation from Barrington though, too many flat step (loses punch/momentum)..I know he's keepin eye on cutback

#Packers Barrington keys nearside guard and hits it.. Solid pursuit (Btw... Toilolo cannot block Clay Matthews)0 replies 0 retweets 0 favorites
From MM presser, ongoing:
@TyDunne: Mike McCarthy says he doesn't have high concern over Eddie Lacy's hip injury. See how players respond tomorrow on short week.
@RobDemovsky: Mike McCarthy: I don't have high concern (about Eddie Lacy) talking to Dr. McKenzie, but tomorrow will be like a Tuesday.
@RobDemovsky: McCarthy: No concern about Sam Shields. He wanted to be out there Monday, appreciate him being there. He's a young player, he's our guy.
@HellerSports: McCarthy--"I'm not going to sit here and talk about our Defense all day. We're on to Buffalo."
@packers: McCarthy: Very impressed w/ Buffalo. Their defensive front is outstanding. This is going to be one of our biggest challenges on the road.
#Packers run defense now ranked 25th in the NFL allowing 129.2 ypg. They were ranked last and allowing over 150 before the bye.
Found on the internet: I feel Denver has looked sloppy in recent weeks and Peyton Manning has lost zip on his throws. In Sundayâs home win over Buffalo, Manning did not throw a touchdown pass and threw two interceptions. I donât think he threw a tight ball the entire game and his deep balls looked weak. This could be cause for concern down the stretch.
Yet they were still able to run it on BUF enough to win.
@ByRyanWood: #Packers LG Josh Sitton (toe), CB Davon House and ILB Jamari Lattimore not practicing today.
@TyDunne: Heard Davon House was getting his shoulder looked at. He wasn't practicing today.
@RobDemovsky: Eddie Lacy is taking part but appeared to be limited during the part that was open.
I watched a good chunk of that game - until it got boring - and Manning was throwing ducks. His arm is totally shot. That's why I think they're going to get beat by someone in the playoffs again.
Buffalo's defense is good, though, as we all know. IMHO it'll come down to which Orton shows up. If it's the Orton who played Sunday, GB will win comfortably, as he was terrible. If it's the Orton GB has seen before, it's going to be a struggle. Orton is definitely in the Brad Hoover pantheon when it comes to how he plays against GB, though. Let's hope he sucks this week.
@TBNSully: The Bills have scored 281 points this season. The Packers have scored 276 in the first half.
Looks like Bart. Plays like Jay.
Kyle Orton didn't really beat GB back in 2011, he merely managed the game and didn't make mistakes. Tamba Hali beat GB by abusing Marshall Newhouse and making Rodgers run for his life. The offense couldn't get in a rhythm because Hali was in Rodgers face almost every play and ended up with 3 sacks. And their DBs did a good job not allowing any big plays. Orton can execute a gameplan, but he's not a QB who will win a game. He's a complementary player, teams need everything else to fall in place perfectly to beat a Rodgers led offense with a strong player at QB.
Wynn has actually kicked around a little bit and done alright as a rotational guy. I doubt anyone regrets letting him go, but he's hanging around.
Here's McGinn comments on Starks vs Falcons:
Starks made the Falcons pay for what Smith called "mis-fitted" gap control on a 41-yard, game-clinching burst off left tackle. Worrilow had the angle but was left grabbing air because of how fast Starks hit it.
He broke five tackles in 12 touches. On his 3-yard TD, Starks probably would have scored even more easily had he stayed inside. Instead, he danced wide and, at the 5, made Ishmael miss so everything in the end was hunky-dory. Starks inspired confidence with his ball security on five late carries in a row against a grabby, desperate defense.
James Starks went to school in Beefalo and he will be returning On Sunday with a little extra juice
Hope he has another big game
