The further we get into this season, the more I realize MLF might be in over his head. Aaron Rodgers did so much for this team & in the process probably helped the HC learn on the job. It's been 3 years Matt....Time to sink or swim. Here's the bottom line....

You simply CANNOT lose to the Denver Broncos. PERIOD! This is a bad football team even worse than the Raiders. You had your "oopsie" last week. You are coming off a bye week. A 2nd game in a row with plenty of rest for the players. Another game with Z-E-R-O excuses.

Win the fucking game....that is all.

AFA Emmanuel Wilson.....is it illegal to get him the ball on a swing pass with 2 OL in front of him?? Jeezus fuck.....this isn't rocket surgery

Yep. That it took a self scout to figure out your offense isn’t doing Jack shit on first down and that you are in unfavorable down and distances after that, is worrisome.

Guys not in position is certainly a factor of being a very young team, but this is also why coaching matters and creating schemes and play calls these players can execute.

It’s still football and it doesn’t have to be terribly complicated right now. As the weeks go by, this team SHOULD be better as they are also getting healthier. If they aren’t, MLF and his staff absolutely should be on the hot seat

You gotta trust your QB sometimes. Love shouldn't get behind center with a run called and across the line see eight defenders in the box without a chance to change the play. Love has been around for three years, so it's not like he's in high school. If MLF feels like he's got to do things his way because he thinks he's smarter than every other coach or because he wants to prove his style works without Rodgers, that's too bad. Get off your high horse. Don't hamstring your QB and team.

I gotta believe that if MLF thought Love was capable, he would green light it.  This is more of a red flag for Love than MLF in my opinion.

I would definitely not call it a red flag yet.  Yes the guy has been been behind AR for a few years but he has very little experience and is realistically not even half way through his rookie year in playing time.  To me its actually a good thing that MLF said he wants to see him change plays more that to me means that he is starting to see the game better and has been gaining the knowledge to do it. We as fans are so used to #4 and #12 running the offense we forget sometimes that GB is breaking in a young QB who is still learning.

MLF is probably gun shy from giving AR too much freedom with the offense….not that he had much choice.

I think MM went through that with AR too….make him run the plays as called his first season and then give him more freedom as he progresses with the offense. The problem was AR eventually quit listening to his coach because he was so much more smarter.

Not saying that AR wasn’t running the offense better than MM would have, but it must be frustrating as a coach when things start going badly and your QB keeps changing every play you call.

For better or worse, MLF seems to be keeping a pretty tight lock on Love’s freedom to adjust plays.

Just a win is all I’m asking for, a crushing will no longer be in my vocabulary, as I don’t think this team is really built for it yet.   Young, and sooooooo inexperienced.  I will always ♥️ the 💚 💛    GBP 21  -  Broncs  10

On Wednesday, Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander was finally removed from the injury report. Just a day later, he’s back on.

Alexander, who already missed two games with a back injury, was listed as limited on Thursday with the same back issue. Coach Matt LaFleur wouldn’t elaborate on the injury other than to confirm Alexander was limited during Thursday’s practice.

That's not what MLF said.

He said Love has the ability to change the play but they try to take that off his plate & just focus on playing QB at a high level.

Jaire beginning to resemble Kevin King (off the field).

Jaire, after injuring that shoulder, also appears to be far less willing to tackle a player vs before that injury. Sometimes it's painfully obvious he wants nothing to do with tackling.

I guess the timing is pretty good with Stokes returning. Valentine probably starts in place of Ja if he can't go, but Stokes should get some reps as well.

Colin Cowturd today said if Jordan Love doesn’t light up Denver, GBP has no option but to draft a high round QB next year. He always finds fault with GB and exaggerates the situation. Wouldn’t even listen to that clown, but the alternative at that time is Jim Rome, who I feel is a disrespectful punk.

Sure I want Love to light up the Broncos too. But step back a second, folks. Favre and Rodgers had ups and downs in their first years, as well.

The question was ; "have you thought about expanding what Love can do at the LOS in terms of checking into more plays?"

MLF said "I think that is just a natural progression as we go. It isn't like he hasn't done it this year, and he has full reign of protections but we try to take most of it, just the system, out of his hands so he can go out and play QB and not worry about getting into the perfect play. We try to set that up by calling an all-purpose play that no matter what the look you have an answer ... or you have a can to a play where if you get one look you're doing this and if you get another look you're doing the other play. We try to take most of that out of his hands. I just think it's hard enough to play at a high level in this league and just go out there and execute, especially when you have a bunch of youth around him. It just adds another layer to that. I think as we progress through the year that just naturally occurs"

I think if Jordan Love gets a strong performance from his OL and has the time to complete his normal drop backs and doesn't perform well (with Jones and Watson playing) there might be some concerns.

If the OL gets overrun like it did against the Lions and Raiders, it's hard to read a lot into what it means for his future. Maxx Crosby might as well have been unblocked on several of those drop backs against the Raiders. Making sure you're scheme isn't designed to expect one of their first year TEs to perform like Marcedes Lewis in that role might help as well.

The entire line (when Jenkins was out) against the Lions might as well have been 5 turnstiles.

Ugh Alexander. Too many injured old guys on this team. We need more youth.

I know you are being sarcastic as he is only 26 years old, but he has missed 16 of the last 39 games without having any leg injuries. The back is a major concern at this point.

Maybe Alexander would be available to play if the games meant something. They could be worried about him reaggravating the injury and it becoming a more long term thing.  It’s not like this team is going to the playoffs this season.

The back is a concern for sure but 14 of those 16 missed games was due to the shoulder injury. If he was still having problems with the shoulder then the 16 of 39 games would be a bigger concern.

He probably has a couple of checks with each play.
