Previous years, I'd agree 100%. This year he doesn't have a lot of catches but he's got 0 drops. Everything out of TC indicated he no longer had a drop issue and his 20 catchable balls this year were all caught.

This year there have been a lot of misses by Rodgers.
Yep, their timing is definitely off. 45% rate on targets.

Blasphemy!
@DH13 posted:The nice thing is they've already played similar QB's (though not exactly the same offenses) in Murray and Mahomes (Fields and Wilson don't count this year) and looked like they had good game plans for them. Keep him hemmed in and get pressure up the nose.
I remember talking about these QB's this spring when the schedule came out and being mildly terrified our D wouldn't be able to handle them. They were terrific vs. Murray.
I hear what you're saying but Jackson is in a league of his own. There hasn't been a QB like him since Vick IMO. He's on an entirely different level from Murray or Mahomes.
Whenever I think of QBs with ankle injuries, I always think back to the one season where TOG had a fairly severe sprain, and shouldn't have played for an upcoming game vs the Vikes.
But the staff taped it up until it was the thickness of his leg, and he gutted it out, for that and several more following games.
I expect the same for Jackson. As long as he can hobble around, I'm sure Hairball's preference is to play him. A game-time decision of 'no go' wouldn't be surprising, but I'm confident the defense will be prepared either way.
I'm guessing that Rasul Douglas is hoping Lamar Jackson plays on Sunday.

Disagree. When Murray is healthy he's just as elusive and a better passer. It's why he was leading MVP race before he got dinged. Most criticism of Jackson has been he isn't progressing as a passer.

If Jacksonβs ankle is anywhere near as bad as TOGβs was for that game, I hope he plays. TOG didnβt need his ankles to play well. Jackson will be absolutely useless on the field if he canβt run.
Former Badger and GB native Cole Van Lanen elevated to the roster for the Ravens game.
@jonas_shaffer: With Chris Westry (reserve/COVID-19) out, here's the Ravens' cornerback room vs. Green Bay:
Anthony Averett
Tavon Young
Jimmy Smith
Kevon Seymour
Robert Jackson
Only Averett's been an every-down player this season. Threadbare depth.
Or guys will struggle to separate.
Also moved up a safety and DL from practice squad

In any case, we definitely need to keep Campbell so we can draft a few WRβs high in the draft. Not easy to do from where we usually draft, but it can be done. Needs to be done. And did I mention find a way to keep Campbell?
Let's hope that tomorrow doesn't become a case of GB being a bit too smug, especially if Jackson can't go. That didn't work out so well the first week...
An preferably a WR whoβs not injury prone.

Don't think we have to worry about the team becoming too smug. Fans on the other hand. Hubris as far as the eye can see.
Hereβs a predictor who sees us beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl.
@RapSheet: #Ravens WR Sammy Watkins is being placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and heβs out vs. #Packers.
I think the Packers need to get tougher now and for the playoffs . Try to be the more physical team. Defense has been good but a little more nasty with attitude would be nice. We canβt play soft in the playoffs and finish first. GO PACK GO!

Smugness wonβt be a problem. Lack of players due to injuries and covid could be a problem. Both teams will be playing lots of 2nd stringers which makes this a tricky game to evaluate even though the Pack legitimately should be favored.
And after watching the Packβs special teams last week, weβll all be holding our breath every time that unit takes the field.
I expect the Packers STs to make a splash positive play tomorrow.
Big return, turnover, something like that.
Well, they are due.
One smart play among many many stupid ones.
At this point, a splash positive play by the ST unit would simply be going 1 game without shitting the bed.
Just be average!
Or, just slightly below.
Being a tremendous slouch would be an improvement.

The Ravens have a great pass rush and can stop the run. And what worries me most about their pass rush is that it could lead to an aggravation of Rodgers toe or even worse. Packers will want to pass a lot but that means a heavy dose of pass rush against backups on our line. So our offense will need, or at least try, to run the ball even when itβs not productive.
Their advantage up front will be diminished if Calais Campbell doesn't play ... could get lucky two weeks in a row after not having to face Hicks last week.

Jesus. That is one damaged unit.
So the Packers run a lot of motion and stacked formations to make secondary think into mistakes / lapses in coverage?
GB is going to run the ball 35 times today.
I can see a lot of runs as the Ravens will most likely need to keep the Safties deep to give help to their Corners.
