Scenario I see moving forward is;

-- activating Jackson for this week in Callahan's spot

-- activate Pennel, move Price to PS

-- if Starks is still hurt, keep Jackson up, if Starks is back, Jackson back to PS

-- Give Goodson until Monday & decide between him & Hawkins for roster spot.

That shot on Cobb was B.S., total cheap shot. He was already going to the ground, there was no reason to put his shoulder in Cobb's head.

I thought he looked like a 'rassler comin' off the ropes dropping an elbow.
Not sure what that "finishing move" is called though.....

Chris Banjo, Sam Shields, Jared Cook all ruled OUT against Dallas. Eddie Lacy, James Starks, Damarious Randall are questionable.

McCarthy said Starks is on track to be in Green Bay tomorrow, and at that point the team will reassess his knee injury.

JC Tretter, T.J. Lang and Randall Cobb will all play. They did not have designations on the injury report.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said RB Eddie Lacy did well yesterday with his limited work....

Dall-ASS:

For the third straight week Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is questionable as he continues to recover from a tibial plateau fracture in his right leg. Bryant was able to go through a third straight limited practice on Friday and he will work before Sunday's kickoff at Green Bay. While he has improved the Cowboys may look to give him another week to get healthy with the bye week coming after the Packers game. Left tackle Tyron Smith is also questionable but he said he would be able to play after getting through Friday's practice.

With Lacy slowed and who knows with Starks, McCarthy should play 5 WRs all game. He has 7 WRs to choose from, so why not? Go 3 wide with Cobb and Montgomery coming out of the backfield.

Goodson & Pennel added, surprised that Jackson, rather than Goodson was not activated, but with Rollins now added to injury report, they must have felt they had to activate another corner.

The Packers did not promote RB Don Jackson from the practice squad. Instead, they activated DE Mike Pennel and CB Demetri Goodson. One takes QB Joe Callahan's roster spot. The other replaces DT Brian Price, who was released and likely will be back on the practice squad if he's unclaimed off waivers.

James Starks not only was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, but the Green Bay Packers running back may miss several weeks because of a knee injury suffered this week.

Starks was downgraded from questionable to out following practice on Saturday. The veteran backup reported some pain in his knee after a workout Tuesday, and the initial diagnosis is a meniscus injury, according to a source.

The Packers are still trying to determine the severity of the injury and a course of action for treatment, in part because Starks spent most of the week out of town to attend his grandmother's funeral.
