One better throw by Wentz on that last drive and the Eagles win that game. Even banged up, the Eagles played well enough to pull out a victory last Sunday. Never underestimate your opponent.

I have a bad feeling about this game. I sorta predict that the defense comes crashing back down to earth. The offense remains a work in progress.  They are getting more healthy and we are reading and believing our own glowing press reports.

Eagles 27, Packers 17

It might be time for the " Dirty Tricksters "  from Ashwabanon to earn their pay this morning.  where-ever the Eagles are staying,  pull the fire alarms,  turn off the hot water.  turn on the car alarms, outside Carson Wentz's room.                                          E A Z Y  P I C K I N S    GB 23  -  Eagles 20

So what you are saying is that we don't have 'home field' advantage - we have 'home town' advantage.  Cool ............

MLF likes 12 and 21 personnel a lot. So with only two WRs on the field it negates our supposed advantage due to their injuries at CB. All they have to cover is Adams and..? IF we can make that personnel group then things will work in our favor. But if they shut down the two WRs then a tight end, fullback or running back will need to catch some passes. Another small possibility is the return to 11 personnel and Rodgers heroics in a come from behind victory.

Will the real Davante Adams shake his early funk?

A season ago, Davante Adams truly emerged as the Packers' top receiving threat, the latest No. 1 wideout hauling in passes from Rodgers.

He totaled career-highs in receptions (111), receiving yards (1,386), touchdowns (13) and targets (169). So far, Adams has stumbled out of the gates. Whether the early season woes end or become season-long woes will start to come to the surface against the Eagles.

Adams' 15 catches for 198 yards are each team-highs, but averaging five catches per game for 66 yards is hardly the production expected out of an elite receiver -- which Adams most assuredly announced himself as in 2018.

Philadelphia is 29th in passing defense, so tonight is the night for Adams to get healthy production-wise.

However, the most notable sign of Adams' lack of productivity comes as he's scored zero touchdowns. Since 2016, Adams' 35 receiving scores are second-most in the NFL and his 26 TD catches in the red zone are the most.

He's only been targeted twice in the red zone so far, though. He's caught both offerings for 16 yards, but not no trips to pay dirt have followed.

Can Adams fix his scoring funk in prime time?

I think he'd be doing fine with this roster.  Lots of talent on it.  Maybe not better than Pettine but better than he was before the roster makeover.  Almost all the high round talent drafted for the D in his later years were busts.  It was time for change but look at the talent on that side of the ball from 2015-1017.

This, the defense lacked legitimate talent at too many spots for too many years.

What is it with Shoulder injuries? I see six Packers listed on the injury report with shoulder issues. Maybe they have defective pads? I know it's a short week but we may still need a change in conditioning.

Yeah, it seems like the should injuries are the new hamstring injuries.

I agree with Chilli regarding Graham and I think he needs to go.   Anyway,  go Packers and show some O tonite!!!!

Hopefully I get home in time tonight for the start of the game.  Thursday night football SUCKS!  Thanks NFL.
