Degura plays tonight?

Doomed!

Packers elevate Kenyan Drake from the practice squad.  I looked up Drake's college career at Alabama.  Limited playing time because he played behind Eddy Lacy, T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry.  The days before the portal.

I swear to Christ.....fuck this entire team if they choose coaches over players. He clearly has a problem with something and it isn't his "shoulder".

The last thing we need is Jaire ending up on a team like the Niners 🖕🏼🤬🖕🏼

I am taking Jaire at his word that this absence is 100% injury related, not some ploy to either get Barry fired, or get traded. If it is the latter, then I don't want that lack of character on the team. If you are paid as a professional, your obligation is to act like one.

Is it a 70/30 or 60/40 injury/attitude issue?

He spoke up last year about not matching up w/opponents #1. Then (I think it was) earlier this year he said something to the effect of being told not to talk anymore, and then a week ago he says he's going to lie.

I trust he is dealing with an injury, but his desire to return could be swayed, subconsciously influenced by the situation.

McAfee brought up DeVito today and Pagano and Michael Lombardi turned it into ripping Joe Barry for Packer's game plan vs him. Pagano said "we'll see what he does vs. a real DC this week" (they play Saints). Lombardi showed clip of our d-lineman getting past him in the pocket, said "the worst place to be on a football field is behind the QB, because he isn't running backwards". Said it was inexcusable that we would let him run for 71 yards.

Woodson went to the HC with his concerns and it was poo-poo'd.....wasn't too long after that Woodson was let go. What if Jaire did the same thing and got the same reaction from MLF?

His shoulder was supposedly hurt vs. the Rams but the dude played like the #1 CB he is. Jaire was awesome that game. Sure it was vs. a QB that sucks. I just don't believe he's been so hurt as to be inactive for 4 straight weeks after practicing. He's practicing again this week.

The players ain't stupid and they're not going to go out on the field and ram their heads into a brick wall like that coach wants them to do. The game is different now....this ain't Lombardi time in the 60's anymore.

Woodson was the CLEAR leader in that locker room when he was let go. Jaire is definitely (at a minimum) one of the top 5 leaders in that locker room right now.

When Jaire was out there vs. The Rams.....was he running the defense and changing Berry's calls?!? I don't know 🤷‍♂️ but it would make sense if the rest of those players have no respect for Berry. That Giants game and defensive game plan is 100% a fire-able offense. The dude should not be employed any longer. How long do we have to sit here and watch bullshit coaching while the rest of the NFL and talk shows laugh at our favorite team??

I find it very difficult to believe he is soooo hurt he cannot play and has to be inactive.

I find it very easy to believe there is some shit going on behind the scenes & they're doing everything to keep it in house.

It was inexcusable. The second level was vacant pretty much every time he stepped up. Not a single thing was done to disrupt a young qb. He knew if he didn't see open guys he could navigate upfield with his legs. It's bad enough to have such a predictable game plan coming in. Staying the course for 60 minutes including the game losing drive is just embarrassing.

With 3 games left, firing JoeBa during the season is off the table. Besides there is no one on the staff currently that has anything remotely close to coordinator experience. The Packers will live and die with this clown.

I am skeptical they will even fire him in the off-season...they will justify it by saying it will be another 2-3 years of players learning the new scheme, etc, etc.

MLF has a lot of redeeming qualities...but he is not a serious person in the ways a HC needs to be. That's why this team always seems to have a lot of penalties at inopportune times...and one unit will play well one week, and the other two fail...and it's never the same two failing...in so many of these losses ST, O and D have all let the team down. MLF can act all pissed off and promise to make the changes...but this shit keeps happening. Annually.

The Packers are not the type of organization that will fire Barry with only a few games left in the season.  Should they? hell yes and it should have happened months ago.  Anyhow, if I was a betting man I think it will happen shortly after the Packers season ends especially if his defense craps the bed the rest of the way.   A prime scenario would be something like losing badly to MN and the Bores with a bad defensive showing.

None of us know MLF and interact with him so how can we know he isn't the type to chew ass and hold them accountable behind the scenes and not as serious as he should be?  I know many of us would like to see more calling out people in public but hat is really not what a good leader should do.

Bisaccia could run the defense for 4 freakin games

What are the odds that our STs are statistically worse than our defense? (I honestly don't know the answer to that question)

I want to know how Barry can call a game like he did against the Lions and Chiefs, and then totally change philosophy against the Giants. What makes him go from attacking top teams and QBs and having success, to laying such a passive egg against a below-average QB? Is it that Barry has nothing to lose against a team like KC because GB is expected to lose, so why not play a more aggressive game? Meanwhile, he risks embarrassment if they lose to a bottom-feeder, so he plays it safer? I mean, it's ass-backwards, but...
