@ByRyanWood: #Packers coach Matt LaFleur says Jordan Love is "sore, but he's doing well."

LaFleur expects Christian Watson to "be out most likely at least a week or so."

LaFleur is unsure on Devante Wyatt, who wore a walking boot on his left foot in locker room yesterday.

@TomSilverstein:   LaFleur said he had punter Daniel Whelan try a dropkick on the onsides kick because it was successful in practice. He said it didn't work out this time.

@ByRyanWood:  Matt LaFleur said his confidence in Brayden Narveson comes from seeing him make kicks in practice. He says Narveson has made kicks at a higher clip in practice than what was happening last year. Still, acknowledges it needs to translate into the games.

That says more about the Packers' return team.

Feels like there is currently more to iron out with this bunch.  Could be a rocky October.  If they can hit Nov at .500 and clicking on all cyclinders, they'll still be in good shape.

Just peeked at the schedule.  They need to hit it in October to make some room for what will be a much more challenging Nov.

I assume Kupp and Nacua are out?  That will help a little bit.  That said, I think the Rams coach is excellent and will scheme a way to get the backup WRs open if the Pack has another game with mediocre to poor pass rush.

I know Kupp for sure has been ruled out and it looks like Nacua is out as well.  That is what scares me because the Rams coach is pretty good at scheming guys open and that could lead to a Brad Hoover type of situation.

Funny that we still refer to the "Hoover Game" all these years later😜

It sure is and if I saw it right that game was in 2000.  Packers boards the next day were on fire.  Can't remember is X4 was around back then.

@Schultz_Report:

Sources: #Packers WR Christian Watson has a high-ankle sprain, but I'm told it's a mild one, and he is "unlikely" to land on IR.

That is really good news for both the Packers and Watson, especially considering how serious the injury initially appeared.

That's not the only Packers catastrophe burned into our retinas over the last 30yrs.

I refuse to list them all because I choose happiness today.

2 games with Willis will cut down on the pass attempts.

Agreed but he’s tied for 6th in receptions this season….tied with Musgrave.

I guess his speed means defenses have to account for him which helps other receivers get open, but that only works if he’s healthy. With an ankle sprain I can’t imagine he’ll be anywhere near 100% for several weeks.

Watson has 80 yards receiving and one TD in the four games he’s played this season so he’s not making much of an impact when he does play.

Those stats don't come close to representing his impact on the field.

Didn't he say the same thing about Carlson?

@mikespofford: CB Carrington Valentine, OL Jordan Morgan doing drills at #Packers practice Wednesday.
Not practicing: WR Christian Watson, CB Jaire Alexander, G Elgton Jenkins, TE Luke Musgrave, DL Devonte Wyatt.

@TomSilverstein: #Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that they have opened the practice window on DT Jonathan Ford, who is currently on IR. He has up to three weeks to practice before a decision is made.

LaFleur said that they dodged a bullet with WR Christian Watson (ankle) and that he doesn't forsee him going on IR. He said Watson is doing a lot better than they could have hoped based on how the injury occured.

LaFleur said they would know more about DT Devonte Wyatt's ankle injury in the next couple of days, but he's hoping that isn't an IR situation either.
