This sounds way more complicated then it needs to be...

If Drayton teaches this the same way he describes it, no wonder things are going wrong. He's made it seem like one of the most difficult things to accomplish in sports. Somehow virtually every other NFL team, and most college teams, can accomplish this without the same issues.

Maybe it's not the case that he's coaching with the same style as he's speaking to the press, but, as a player, if you get so bogged down in the details of what can go wrong, you tighten up and make things more likely to go wrong.

I also really don't like the analogy about "dying a slow death." That puts it into people's minds that you are eventually going to fail. You want the opposition to think that after a few times of really selling out to block a kick and not getting close that's it's just not worth it to do so (either effort-wise or to protect against the small risk of a fake). They'll start to back off just a little bit and take the pressure off every single attempt. Instead, what he's conveyed to opposing coaches and players is that he knows they are coming closer and closer to blocking each kick.

It’s good to see Stokes practicing. Our DB’s will be key to this game. I hope that Love doesn’t have to start. This game will not be like the last. Watching the Baltimore/Miami matchup reminded me that a fearless, yet disguised, pass rush can be lethal. That’s what happened to Love against the Chiefs. I don’t think the Seahawks can pull that off against the Packers. Running the ball sets up play action. And effective passing sets up the run. The Packers would like to have that balance. But disguised defenses can negate that. Rodgers can diagnose it better than Love yet even he can be fooled. I don’t see the Seahawks as a disguised type defense. They will try and out score you with a superior pass game esp. with Wilson moving out of the pocket. This game will depend on the quality of the play from our secondary. They need to plaster the receivers five seconds or more. That’s a tough challenge for guys who were probably just backups at the beginning of the season.

@TomSilverstein: #Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that LT David Bakhtiari will be doubtful for Sunday, but he said he did not have a setback. He said it's all part of the process of his return from ACL surgery.

LaFleur said he told Jordan Love he has to be ready because anything could happen between now and Sunday. They still have to wait until Saturday for Rodgers to be cleared to play Sunday.

LaFleur said CB Eric Stokes (knee) will be listed as questionable and they will see how he feels Sunday.
