One thing you don't have to worry about with Ben is the fact he's pretty much a statue back there albeit a big statue. Whatever Cinci did, try and mimic the best you can what they did against them. If watt does play, we showed v Bosa that he could be somewhat contained. And maybe for this game, Jenkins is back and that would be big time..

Brutal assessment by the Pitt Press Gazette:

The Steelers’ current offensive coordinator, Matt Canada, looks like a college coach trying to out-scheme NFL coaches. It looks like a college offense designed for the college game, and Canada’s play calling suggests he is completely in over his head in the NFL.

Mike Tomlin, who presumably hired Canada, said Sunday after the Steelers’ 24-10 loss to the Bengals that this was a total team effort. He said the players didn’t play well enough and the coaches didn’t coach well enough. He was then asked about what he thinks about Canada’s growth as a coordinator and he was not interested in that discussion.

“We are not playing well enough,” Tomlin answered. “Frame it however the hell you want to frame it.”

There is only one way to frame it ,and it is that there is not a single thing Canada has shown that establishes he has any clue about what to do in his first role as an NFL offensive coordinator. He was hired to fix the running game, and it may have actually gotten worse — which is saying something.

Paul Zeise: Matt Canada is clearly in over his head as Steelers offensive coordinator | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Several reports out there also saying Big Ben "looks about 103 years old" out there. These aren't the Steelers from even  a couple years ago.

Najee Harris is the real deal but the Steeler's O-line is awful. Harris has been hit behind the LOS on 70% of his runs. I can see an 8 man box to force Big Ben to make some throws. He had 1 completed throw over 10 yards the last game.

Tomlin is getting some serious heat from the fan base right now...

They feel Rooney has protected him for too long. If things go south this season, Rooney may well drop the hammer.

They are a desperate team...any time you play one of those, anything can happen. I am wary.

That would be unusual for the Steelers to fire a coach. I think they will keep Tomlin but maybe pressure him to make some changes. He just got a 3 year extension.

I could see them parting ways if he gets to the end of his deal and they start a rebuild. Maybe he wouldn't want to be around for that or they would want someone new to oversee it.

Hey Wolfpack….

How do you like living in Raleigh? The Kiel’s are relocating to Wake Forest, apparently we gotta buy stuff in Raleigh….teasing, have been there 3 times now and love the vibe. I bought a Tar Heel pullover last trip…is that going to be a problem? 😀

Raleigh/Durham,/Chapel Hill area is great. Big Medical/Tech presence. great jobs. 3 hours from Appalachian mountains, 2 hours from Atlantic Ocean. A number of major universities in the area as well as craft breweries. Humidity isnt great but otherwise nice weather. vibrant downtown scene. NHL team is good. Charlotte is 2 hours away for NFL /NBA games so everything relatively close except MLB. Brewers do have the Carolina Mudcats affiliate here and the Durham Bulls are AAA.

You must shop at Walmart if you picked up some Tarholes gear. well, thats the tourist thing to do , you know because Jordan once was paid to attend there while given an AFAM degree none of their athletes earned. Hope baby blue goes with your wardrobe. Mack Brown seems to be meeting expectations again after a drubbing against GT. But hey they always have Mitch Trubisky!

Much easier to get some 'Pack gear, no? Welcome!

Mike Tomlinson is 3-0 against the Packers and the Stillers have won the past 5 regular season games.  Packers last win (not counting SB) was in 1995. I believe that was the game Yancey Thigpen dropped the winning TD while wide open in the end zone.

Stillers are the only team AR has not faced at Lambeau. Go figure.

Mike Tomlinson is LaDainian's brother, right?

If that's true, then......
