Along with the other DT that is now suspended for the Texans, they may be pretty thin at this position. MLF might be thinking RTFB! more and more for this game.

Also would keep CJ Stroud on the sideline.

Also going to be missing two starters in the secondary

@AaronWilson_NFL:  Sources: Texans rookie corner Kamari Lassiter (scapula fracture) expected to be out a few more games, Jimmie Ward (groin) to miss Packers game

Not a fan of Twatty LaFleur...sometimes he comes across as annoyed by the questions about injuries and availability.

You have the softest of softball media in all of pro sports. They are just doing their job. Don't act like a petulant child with them.

When he acts like an adult, I kind of like him.

Agree. The β€œgamesmanship” thing of keeping your opponent from wondering what players won’t or will play is also bullshit. It’s stupid thinking that somehow you will catch them off guard.

Texans already announced 2 starting CBs are out for Sunday

First two trips to Lambeau were the weeks immediately following Rodgers' broken collarbones.  Travel, hotel and tix were all booked way in advance, so I was SOL.

I sympathize and empathize.

I've written before about taking Mrs. Timmy's parents to their first ever Braves game at Fulton County Stadium. Advance tickets purchased, post-game dinner plans, etc.
Long story short, they wound up clinching their division the day before, and none of the starters played. Weather turned cold and windy, and nobody had any fun.
The rest of the day/evening devolved to a flaming sack of crap from there.
It's something we laugh about today, but it was miserable then.

Fresh legs for November? Sounds good to me.

I also wonder if Ford is ready for activation.
He's 14 days (as of today) into the 21-day window.
And with Wyatt and possibly Wooden nicked up, it might hasten the process.

Wednesday has been what used to be called a "veteran's rest" day for Jenkins, and he hasn't had an availability problem, so I'm not concerned about him.

Wyatt hasn't practiced for 2-3 weeks, and no reports of him being ready to return.

No idea what's up with Wooden. I don't recall him getting hurt or having to leave the game last Sunday, although I don't think he had a lot of snaps.

On paper, both Green Bay's (3) and Houston's (5) offenses are fairly evenly matched, with the exception of the Packers having the league's #2 ranked rushing offense (167.2 yds/game)!
Houston's rush is decent, ranked 13th at 119 yds/game, but not particularly outstanding.

They're much better passing the ball, ranked 4th, but they have allowed twice as many sacks (17) that the Packers (8). TO's are fairly even.

In spite of that, they're not scoring a lot of points (24 ppg avg., ranked 12th.
Packers are ranked 5th, with a 27 ppg avg.

Defensively, the Texans are ranked much better (8th overall) than the Packers (21st), but that is because their pass defense (5th) is much better than Green Bay (27th). With INTs factored in, the Packers make up a lot of ground with 9 compared to Houston's 5.
Sacks are fairly close with the Texans averaging a whisker over 3 per game, and the Pack averaging 2.75.

Both teams are fairly mediocre defending the rush.
The Packers are slightly better, ranked 12th at 110 yds/game avg., Houston is 15th with a 114 yds/game avg.

Ditto for scoring defense.
Packers are 13th, allowing slightly over 20 ppg avg., Houston is 17th with a 22.5 ppg avg.

I think these trends tend to be the set-up for the game.
Pound the hole early and often, and set up play action based on that.
Keep Stroud confined to the pocket so he can't escape to extend plays. It'd be a good game for the DL to repeat their performance vs the Titans.
Win the TO battle.
Play smart. No stupid, dick-stepping, drive-killing penalties.

At least it's not "like I said." Drives me crazy.

I think these press conferences would go better if they just kept to canned responses. Examples:

1. Yeah, no, like I said, we're taking it day by day.

2. Yeah, no, like I said, we'll need to review the tape (more).

3. Yeah, no, like I said, we can only play the guys lined up against us.

4. Yeah, no, like I said, some refs in this league are older than others.

Hush puppies and grits are gross and for you loser Confederates.   Yankees eats potato pancakes with sour cream or apple sauce.

Keep your mushy ass catfish and slimly yet somehow tasteless porridge out of here.

very rare do I eat catfish unless it is farm raised. I don't like my fish to taste like fish if that makes sense. But I love me some white perch, grouper or mahi. dipping a bite that over my buttered grits is heaven. There is a reason Fish and Grits are a famous plate around the country. Maybe you can show me a famous plate called Fish and Potato Pancakes or Fish with Apple Sauce.  I don't see apple sauce around here at all unless it is being eaten by 3 year olds or 93 year olds.
