This is a great opportunity to get to 6-2 and 3-0 in the division.  Obviously, the Bears will be without Cutler and Briggs,  I like our defense at home to turn over the Bears.  Just keep Forte in check.  The Bears defense is giving up 391 yards per game and 29 points per game, they do however continue to be good taking the ball away, +7.  Bears have lost 3 of the last 4.

GO PACK GO!

As well as DT Henry Melton, his backup Nate Collins and MLB D.J. Williams (all gone for the year).  First time this season we'll face a team injured worse than us.

Here's the thing I love about Emery. When he sees a problem or deficiency, he attacks it via multiple angles. He doesn't just sign one FA, he drafts the position as well. I think the Trestman/Emery duo are going to have a fantastic run in Chicago.

Not a shabby team could be made with injured players from these teams.

QB: Jay Cutler

RB: DuJuan Harris

WR: Randall Cobb, James Jones

TE: Jermichael Finley

OT: Brian Bulaga, Sherrod

DL: Henry Melton, Nate Collins and Worthy

LB: Matthews, DJ WIlliams, Lance Briggs, Brad Jones, Nick Perry

DB: Casey Hayward

News & notes...  Hyde on KOs

Work in progress: The stat line doesn't reflect that of a first-round pick. Defensive end Datone Jones, projected as a versatile, athletic threat along the line, has one tackle and zero sacks. On Sunday, he also had an unnecessary roughness penalty on third and 6.

Capers says the defensive end is "still developing."

"I thought he played his best a week ago. Had two or three good things last night," Capers said.

@Rich_Campbell

Bears CB Charles Tillman (right knee) did not participate in the portion of Tuesday's practice that was open to media.

#Bears are only team in NFL with fewer than 10 sacks this season. Robert Mathis, Justin Houston, Robert Quinn & Mario Williams all have at least 10 sacks.

bears lead all time series 92-88 in the win loss column and the last time the Packers were ahead in the series was in 1932...Packers should take the lead soon, all we need is for da Bears to continue being da Bears

List of reasons why you know your team is injury riddled.

34. Excessive number of hamstring pulls.

17. Fairly high amount of uncommon injuries such as hip dislocation and complete hamstring tears.

9. Team leads league in games lost due to injuries for prolonged periods.

1. Someone on your team chips their heel. But rest assured, this never happens.

Chip Keel sounds like a perfect name for a guy that makes an 11 foot putt to win the 2024 Ryder Cup for the USA or the guy that goes all in on the final table at the World Series of Poker and loses out on pocket 10's.

IIRC there was a DB who also had a "hit towel".

Ken Stills was the back that had the hit list towel like Martin. The greatest frustration to me was how dirty the Bears were during that era, but that was rarely acknowledged because they were great and media darlings. In that game, the Bears started out with a late hit on Packer QB, that was glossed over by long time Chicago announcers tim ryan and Dan Jiggets doing the game for CBS. Same with Lee's hit on Payton---Payton has his hands on Lee's shirt the entire way dragging him including tossing him over  the bench--Lee was a clean player and that was a mutual foul. Wilbur Marshall had slammed Vikings QB (Kramer?) to the turf just a week earlier after a whistle at the end of a game. one of the worst hits i've ever seen.

People always forget to mention that MCMahon had thrown an interception and Martin was responding like the dumb a$$ tackle  he was and  taking him out of the play as possession had changed. It was an egregious foul, but not a late hit. Stills hit on Suehy was much worse. Martin and Stills were thugs and it was a terrible era for the packers. They paid for it...The Packers win that game if not for those unsportmanslike penalties---and that was a David vs. Goliath matchup---World Champions versus a horrendousPacker  team. Also--Martin was cut by the Packers within abut two weeks and was dead in a couple of years...I think that is Stills son playing for the Saints.

I was never so glad to see a coach leave Green Bay as Forrest Gregg...the worst era of  Packer history.

Hell, they probably would have blamed McMahon had he been an OL.

I met Charles Martin when I was 9 yrd old in a Dallas hotel the day before a game with the Cowboys in '84

Could not have been more friendly. Lofton asked me to hold his boombox as he waited for the elevator. Coffman gave me a low 5. Summerall was a good sport as well. My dad spent the afternoon at the bar with Lew Carpenter. Got pretty much the whole '84 team autographs. One of the best days of my life.

was surprised to see the Martin play the next year. Seemed like the gentle giant type.

Though its interesting to see some context around that play from the packers POV, as Johnson mentioned above.

as for Monday, stop Forte and bottle up Hester and you stop the Bears.

I think we can stop the running game as weve done well this year and learned alot since the end of last season. Im not sure the ST coverage can limit Hester.
