This is looking more and more like 2010......which I guess is a good thing. I'm just glad Raji, Woodson, Perry, Shields and Jennings are all coming back before the season ends.
There are only 2 players on this team that are truly irreplaceable. As long as they're still on the field, next man up.
This team should still beat an MJD-less Jags at home, but being down seven starters is being down seven starters. Teams like the Jags are so awful because of how poorly their starters compare to other teams' starters.
If the Jags come in determined to shut down Jones and Cobb, it will be interesting to see if Green, Driver/Boykin and the TEs can step up. I still like a Packer win, but our expected 42-10 rout is probably in jeopardy.

Perhaps they still get Benson back at the end of the year as well.

WR Greg Jennings (groin) will have surgery Tuesday. It's a 20-25 minute procedure and he will be able to walk out of the doctor's office.
@TomSilverstein
Jennings on his return: "They give you ceratain time frames, one week, two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, whatever the case may be. But ...
" ... at the end of the day, itâs going to be determined whether I feel good or not is when Iâm going to return back onto the football field

The exact ailment -- and it's hard on the ears -- is a rectus abdominal tear for Greg Jennings. Having surgery. No timetable.

Speculation is that he'll be sidelined around 6 more weeks because of this. Looks like at best he'll be returning at the very end of the regular season
GBPG sez that Quarless and/or Zombo may get activated. Sherrod hasn't practiced and is probably headed to IR.

Is that really Jennings groin in the pix?
It feels like mine right now
It is too bad they could not have diagnosed this a couple of weeks ago. He lost probably 3 weeks of recovery.
Hopefully this takes care of the issue but you never know.

Schefter reporting that the Packers expect JEnnings to only be sidelined for 3 weeks. If so, that's highly encouraging

Doctors expect Packers WR Greg Jennings to be sidelined about three weeks after he undergoes abdominal surgery Tuesday.

When he was 7.
Official Cutler x-ray following the 2010 NFC Championship.
Turns out he wasn't faking it.

About 37 degrees at #Packers' prac. Fri a.m. DL's Mike Trgovac only one in shorts. Bo Schembechler, his coach at #Michigan, would be proud.

@TyDunne
More injuries: Rodgers (prob), Saturday (prob), Shields (out), Starks (prob), Woodson (out)

MM on Kuhn: Like anything when youre going through medical process, you get different opinions. DIdn't feel he was ready from medical
@WesHod
MM: Packers will test Jordy Nelson out on Sunday
TyDunne
MM: Injuries as part of the game. Struggle of injuries is more personal, see guys getting treatment.Seeing D.J. Smith, that's the tough part
@WesHod
MM on two-back without Kuhn: We've done it my whole time here but we've always interchanged responsibility between TEs and FBs
@WesHod
MM on Raji: Talked to BJ, he felt good. The plan coming off of Monday was to practice Thursday in pads and take Friday to recover
@WesHod
MM: Quarless and Zombo won't be up this week
@TyDunne
MM on PUP players: No Quarless, Zombo this week. ...Andrew going thru normal process of coming off major knee injury. Having some soreness.

MM on Derek Sherrod: Derek's not ready. That's all i can tell you. I know he's frustrated but we all saw the injury
@TyDunne
MM on Goode extension: Have to look at situation when you don't have someone like Brett Goode. ...Same guy every day. Performs all the time.
@WesHod
MM on special teams being locked up: You look at the battery of punter, kicker, snapper. It's an important group.
@TyDunne
MM on Shields, Perry: Getting better but just not ready. See what next wk brings. Hopeful they'll push for next week. #packers

Johnny White might make an appearance this weekend.
Chilli, Edgar may need to start getting loose at this rate. Kevin Greene looks like he's getting back into playing shape now that I think about it.
As the ol' ball coach Steve Spurrier used to say around these parts, "We'll find 11 and put 'em out there."
If we lose any more guys, Johnnie Blue might make an appearance this weekend. (OK, fine...Red.)
If they need to do any goal line runs, they may need Raji in there.
That may be the plan.
@TomSilverstein
New from JS: Kuhn out, Raji probably in Sunday

If Nelson misses the game, Finley will be getting a lot of throws his way. Who knows, maybe he'll catch some this time. Driver will also get a lot more snaps, so we'll get a chance to see if he has anything left. Good news on Raji, hope he's back to full strength.
If Nelson does not play, what if the 1st time they go 3-wide it is Jones - Cobb - Boykin, and not Driver?
I would not be shocked if the Packers activate and give meaningful playing time to Jarrett Boykin against the Jags. MM seems to be very high on him, and this would be the perfect opportunity to see what he can do.
I believe Boykin has been active the last couple games. Just no balls thrown his way.
He was activated, but only played in garbage time.
No matter who is out there, I expect Cobb to have a monster day... So does my fantasy team.
15 touches for Cobb....we win
for those to slow blair keel to figure it out...that includes PR and KR
Cobb is shaping up to be a rich man's Darren Sproles.
35 rush attempts between Green / Starks / White for 165 yards. Good weekend for the line to figure out how to run block.
Kuuuuuuuhn out? We're doooooooomed!
The Jaguars have scored 8 offensive TDs in 6 games in 2012. Rodgers has 9 TD passes and 0 INT in his last 2 games.
Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. Remember, we were supposed to have an easy time over Indy, too. Everyone is picking us by 14+. Think the Jags might be looking at that too and using it as bulletin board fodder? It would be nice for us to string together three wins. We just need to take care of business and not get too cocky...
