Special teams coordinator Ron Zook said he wouldn't have any reservations about using Janis as a gunner this week — if he's active.

Now we know why there were so many "mis-communication" problems.
Remind me again what Winston Moss does?
He's responsible for all crazy super great LB development beyond TT's FA and high, stellar draft picks.
Moss is the reason Greene decided to spend more time with family.

If I'm Gus Bradley, I line Malik Jackson up over Lane Taylor every play and make Tretter help out on most plays.

I like McCarren. For a team employee, he is about as candid as he possibly can be.
I hope his optimism about Lane Taylor is accurate, because the thought of him pass blocking for Aaron scares the heck out of me.
It's not like Rodgers is a Tom Brady-ish statue in the pocket. Unless it's a designed deep shot play off play-action, 12 rarely stays in the original pocket if it's not a quick hitting pass play.
I can remember plenty of times that in spite of having that first-ballot Hall of Fame guard () in front of him Rodgers was scooting and skittering about back there, it's just the way he plays.
As I said earlier in the Sitton released thread, Josh's hardest attribute to replace will be vet moxie and a rare ability to cover for teammates' blocking breakdowns. Until/if Taylor gets settled it would be smart to have Lacy or one of the [lousy-blocking] TE's deployed to the line's left side to not only help Taylor but cover for any problems Buck Cherry might have.
Not MM's way, though

Worth keeping an eye on. Could be a big Jag's loss this week:
Jaguars DE Jared Odrick suffers jaw injury, put in concussion protocol
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jared Odrick has been placed in the concussion protocol after getting hit in the jaw during Wednesday's practice.
Odrick was immediately removed from practice after he was hit in the jaw by "a little friendly fire," but later underwent further evaluation and placed in the league's concussion protocol by the team's medical staff to be safe.
He did not practice Thursday as he's not yet been cleared for contact.
Tyson Alualu likely would start if Odrick cannot play.
Odrick led the Jaguars with 5.5 sacks in 2015 despite playing a position in Bradley's defense that is designed to be more of a run-stopper than a pass-rusher. Odrick also had 10 tackles for loss and eight quarterback hurries, both of which ranked second on the team.
He signed a five-year, $42.5 million contract -- of which $22.5 million is guaranteed -- with the Jaguars in March 2015.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy announces he's donating $100,000 to the Green Bay Police Foundation. The Packers are matching the donation the same amount. McCarthy, whose father was a Pittsburgh police office for 8 years and a firefighter for 30 years, said "My goal is be part of the solution to make our community better." Team president Mark Murphy said these are difficult times for police agencies and communities and the team is pleased to help in this initiatives. Previously the foundation had raised just $30,000 since it started in July
Meanwhile, the entire Hags team planning to sit for the anthem?

#Packers WR Jeff Janis proved he can "operate with a club" but tomorrow's practice will determine if he's on 46 roster Sunday.

Per MM, team will be overnighting down in Sawgrass. Great opportunity to show them what re-hydrating and pad level is all about.
I'll be in the bar hydrating.

The Niners and Jed York earlier pledged $1 million for inner city initiatives with more announcements like this coming I'd wager. Good for all of them.

The #Packers have added LT David Bakhtiari (back) to the injury report. He's questionable to play against Jacksonville
— Wes Hodkiewicz (@WesHod) September 10, 2016
Not welcome news.
What the hell is with the back injuries on both sides of the line? That's the kind of injury you're looking at the draft for replacements.
Lane Taylor can cover for Bakh's mistakes.
Don't like it. BaK's back covers Aarons back
Removed "probable" from the injury report so now there's a significant amount of guesswork involved. Late addition and my guess is he plays.
If he is on the report my guess is that there is some real concern about his health for this game and the ones coming up. Questionable means questionable...not probable.
Under the new guidelines, "Questionable" means there is a 50-99% chance that he plays.
MM emulating Belicheat.

There is no probable. There is only out, doubtful, questionable, and the Vikings definitely suck.

I think it's more likely Lacy lost weight than McCarthy.
