No kidding

And all Ted ever gets ya are Tom Crabtree's and Spencer Havners...

I just don't get all the fuss over Janis. He's in his 2nd season. Plenty of athleticism there. Just need a little patience before he can be counted on regularly. They drafted him, now they are developing him. What's the rush?

Hope this linky of his 9 point buck works

Yeah but he probably killed his hunting partners, set the forest on fire, and made Iran declare war on us while he was trying to shoot that deer!

Do ya get it??

It's because he sucks!!! LOL

The deer simply under estimated his speed.

I'd like to see Janis out there just to stretch the field. Geez, he could be used as a decoy and all he has to do is run long. He also seems to really like the crossing routes, so use him on them. If Cobb or Jones has to whisper the play to him or he has to wear a band with plays on it like some QBs, then get it done!

Yeah I can't imagine they are holding Janis back for any reason other than they don't think he's ready...which is what they get paid to do. They're not going to sit a young player for no reason, the best 11 will play. Janis just isn't one of the best 11 right now, despite his 40 time and flashy preseason play. This team isn't afraid of playing young players either, Janis just isn't ready.

What is missing from this analysis is the no huddle offense and audibles.  The QB in this system has to be able to call and/or change the play at the line of scrimmage. That's how this offense works.  The QB can't do that if Janis doesn't know the calls. They tried it like 3 or 4 games ago and you saw the result:  5 yard penalty and looks of pure disgust by McCarthy and Rodgers.

"Hey dipsh*t, you're on a crossing route on this!"

Yeah just no.  You can't do that at the line of scrimmage.

Big middle finger.

If he is actually ready to play (I doubt it too) perhaps they're holding him back for December / January to keep things off the tape.

If the Packers lose this game, the screaming for heads to roll will be tremendously loud.

It's entirely possible Janis isn't good enough to be an NFL WR. Drafting a WR in the late rounds that didn't work out has happened a few times the last 70 years.

Ty was downgraded to doubtful today. That sucks. Was hoping he could go. That's a guy that knows how to beat press coverage.

For the sake of doing it make a package that gives Janis! and Abby included.

Why the **** not.  Ok yeah every route depends on the receiver knowing exactly what to do when and Aaron throws to a spot.  I'd still like to see them just try it for fuggs sake.

TBH I think the biggest problem is a sieve for an OL at this point.

How do you know he has earned PT though? You have to earn your chance to play, it is possible he simply has not earned the opportunity to play on offense.

Jarrett Bush was a really good athlete, good sized kid, could play multiple positions, obviously played hard based on his ST effort...so why wasn't he on the field on D more often? Because he couldn't play. It was obvious, when he did get opportunities, that he sucked, but it's not like he started in year 2 and got demoted. He got to GB on the bottom and pretty much stayed on the bottom. The coaches obviously saw in practice that he couldn't play. Perhaps that's the case in Janis' young career. Good size, good athlete, plays hard, but can't play. The coaches are seeing him every day and don't feel like he has earned meaningful snaps on O despite the fact that depth is an issue...that should tell you everything.

You don't have to guess or look any further than the last time he was in for consecutive plays. Rodgers tried to run the no huddle and Janis couldn't get set. Penalty, shaking of heads, and he's yanked.  That was that.

He earned that time. He can run and catch and all that, but when the game was on, he was literally lost.

Ever try to learn a different language? That's how players describe it. For some it takes a lot longer than others, and it is way harder than the physical stuff.

For the sake of historical accuracy, that was in the KC game.

Three weeks later he played most of the game v. San Diego and led the team in receiving yardage and made the final block 50 yards downfield on a hustle play to ensure Starks scored from distance. But memes gotta meme.

Just keep sanding those rough edges, 1265.

I forgot about the SD game. I stand corrected on that.

In my defense they asked AR if the SD game meant Janis was ready and he basically gave them the big "NO." i am believing it is still the mental errors AR called him out on that are the problem.

They're 6-2 & in 2nd place in the NFC playoff race.

Lotta football to play yet.

This is a division game. We'll see exactly what the Packers are made of today.

FYI....Janis is active
