I think Pete Carroll knew exactly what he had in Russ - a QB with major limitations that he surrounded with all the right pieces and right coaching. Then the whole "let Russ cook" stuff was being pushed by his camp and Carroll was done with his ungrateful a$$. Fleeced the Broncos in that trade and the rest is history. Russ may go down as the least self aware QB in NFL history. To not realize what he had in Seattle and ask to be traded? It'll cost him the HOF.
But have to wonder - is Sean Payton tanking for the #1 pick? Broncos had less talent last year and Hackett took them to 5 wins.
