As usual, am terribly  nervous about this game.  Tony Romo isn't the Tony of old, he's better, much better, and I'm thinking it's going to be a tight game.  and will all the hoopla about 8 road wins, to 8 home wins??  home field will win out.  GBP 28 - Cowpokes 21.

If Rodgers is healthy enough to have some mobility, the Packers win.  If he doesn't have a lot of mobility, the game will be decided by the Packers defense.  Either way, I think and pray the Packers win.  The crowd better be loud, which I think it will be.  Go Packers!

no idea on how to predict this one.

nervous but confident that somehow someway we'll end up with a bigger score than teh opponent at the end.

just gotta RELAX and trust 12.   34-28 pack.  turnovers doom Dalass as Romo,Murray and Bryant all lose frozen footballs

If he is limited, I don't think AR's lack of mobility is that big a deal.  He is deadly throwing on the run and it is his X factor, but his game doesn't depend on it.  His strengths are reading the D, calling the play and putting the ball in the right place with a big arm and high accuracy.  If he needs to be Tom Brady until his calf heals, he can do that.  If GB drops this game it wont' be because of AR's calf.

Brady Poppinga - Will Packers calf-ass it versus the Cowboys?   Talks about attacking a less than mobile AR.

Like the 2nd half versus DET, this game will be won with the OL giving AR time to find Cobb, Rodgers, Adams, & Jordy and Eddie & Jim room to run.

Short, quick timing routes like slants, outs and back shoulder throws will be the primary patterns. The rushing attack headed by Eddie Lacy will have to come up big.  Coach Mike McCarthy will have to make the running game a focus of his play-calling.  Green Bay has been successful running the ball against most every defense it has faced, including the No. 1 defense against the run – the Lions. In that game the Packers rushed for 152 yards. If Green Bay can run the ball, Rodgers will be able to use the play-action passes to slow the rush, thus minimizing the pressure of the Cowboys’ defensive linemen, and the likelihood that he'll need to get off the spot before releasing the ball.

Like the 2nd half versus DET, this game will be won with the OL giving AR time to find Cobb, Rodgers, Adams, & Jordy and Eddie & Jim room to run.

Though they are capable of giving him that time, he doesn't necessarily need it.  He gets the ball out faster than any QB in the game.

I am very superstitious and always will be.  Cowboys 97 Packers 3

All kidding aside I see a lower scoring game than expected and the first points don't come until half way through the 2nd quarter when Murray busts up the middle for a 40 yard TD run.  A FG decides this one as time expires.  Cowboys 21 Packers 20

Ok, so at some point the score will be Cowboys 18 Packers 20

How did they get to 18?

Touchdown + 1 pt & FG & Touchdown + 2 pt conversion (Possible but unlikely as they would probably go for the tie & kick the XP instead of going for 2 depending on timing)

or

2 Touchdows + XP + 2 Safeties

or

3 FG's + Touchdown w/XP + Safety

or

6 FG's

or

9 Safeties

I'm going to go out on a limb & say...no way that score happens in the manner you describe it.

I'll also be very disappointed if the Packer offense only scores 20 vs. Dallas. Cold or not

Dallas scores 3 TDs.  Packers score 2 TDs + 2 FGs and miss a third at the gun.  21-20, and a FG decides it as time expires.

Presumably, you've got more confidence that Crosby won't miss a long FG.

I have that feeling, too, Dr_Bob.

The only thing that untickles my cockles is that the weather will not be conducive to throwing the ball much.   I think the long ball will negate both teams' big play WR's....but I think Lacy will be a horse and our short passing game will lead us to TD's.  I don't think we should plan on many field goals, so I hope MM has planned on going for it in those situations.

God Bless anyone going to the game.  I wish I could be there for it.   Get Loud!

Murray has not been running well lately.   Something's not right there.  Cowboys will have problems cutting on cold turf and catching a hard as rock football.

I predict some doses of James Starks to give Dallas a look at a runner they haven't studied very much.  Lacy accounts for 2 TD's.  Richard Rodgers or Davante Adams add a 3rd, and Micah Hyde or Cobb get a punt or KO return to make it 28-17, Green Bay.

I'm expecting some screens and quick slants early in the game to try to slow down the rush and to let Rodgers get rid of the ball fairly quickly rather than risking any hits that could aggravate his calf injury.

I am curious though.   After all the Brandon Bostick hype, has he even played much?   Will he play Sunday?   What's the deal there?

Green Bay weather forecast:  Mostly cloudy, with a high near 17. West southwest wind around 6 mph

Aaron can throw deep, Jordy and Randall can run, and Crosby can kick well in that weather.

Packers go up by 14 after two first quarter touchdowns.  Unfortunately, in the second quarter two turnovers result in 10 points by the Cowboys, and at halftime it's 14-10.

No scoring in the third quarter but on the first play of the fourth quarter Romo gives the ball to Murray who pulls up and throws a perfect 50 yard strike to Bryant who outruns the Packers secondary and scores.

With time becoming a factor the Packers get the ball on their own 32 yard line.  Aaron mixes passes with runs and with strong running and a clutch reception, Lacy gets the ball very close to the goal line, but is unable to get it across.  With only 13 seconds left it looks like the call will be a pass so they either score or stop the clock to give Crosby a chance to tie.  However, when they line up Kuhn is behind Rodgers, so it appears he will go up the middle.  Aaron, knowing how bad the footing is getting decides to take no chances on anyone slipping and keeps the ball himself, diving through a hole created by wedge blocking by Lang and Linsley, and scores!  Final score is 21-17 with Green Bay winning Ice Bowl II!

Personally, I think Green Bay has 24 by halftime

Well I have always been a Idot with math.  Maybe they get to 18 because Jerruh gets extra points put on the board? ah nah I will go back to I am a Idot.

Excellent! Added one thing:

Aaron, knowing how bad the footing is getting decides to take no chances on anyone slipping and keeps the ball himself, while yelling out "Here it comes again!", diving through a hole created by wedge blocking by Lang and Linsley, and scores!  Final score is 21-17 with Green Bay winning Ice Bowl II!

If the line moves one way or the other it's because they failed in their initial attempt at equality and need to cover their ass by attracting wagers to the other side.

The line isn't what Vegas thinks the outcome will be, its what they think the gambling public thinks it will be.

I simply do not think the Packers are going to have trouble scoring on this team. Weather won't be a factor- 20 degrees at kickoff? Summertime. And it'll be a blitzkrieg that Jonesy won't have words for. The D will bend some, but the score will dictate that they cannot run the ball.

I am going 38-20 Packers. Reggie White will smile as Matthews piles up 3 QB sacks without a guy jamming his face every play.

I was trying to figure out your thought process.

Eff this..... Packers win! By any means necessary

I am leaning towards MC's view on the game. The margin hinges on Rodgers. I've been harboring a fear that his injury is a lot worse than what's been let on. If he is able to play at the level we saw in the second half of the Lions game or better than this should be more than a 2 touchdown win. The OL will come through for both Rodgers and the running game.

Defensively the only thing that really concerns me is Bryant going off. The Packers' collection of CBs is probably the best in the league so he should be kept under control. I am really not that worried about DeMarco Murray, he's showing the effects of a long season and the Cowboys' OL, while good, is not as dominant as many would have you believe.

Fricking blocking for the kicking teams better get sorted out.

I think there is a lot of over confidence in this thread.   Dallas is for real.  They are a 4 tool team.  They can run the ball, pass the ball, control the ball, and they have a great OL.  Can you picture Murray flying out of the backfield on a wheel route covered by Hawk or Jones?  Jason Witten scares me to death.  And, I haven't even mentioned Dez Bryant.  Plaxico Burress?  Julio Jones?  Nothing compared to Dez.  Dez is a great route runner, gets open, and is a beast to bring down.    I don't think we will be able to stop Dallas, especially when it counts.

Defensively, they can get some pressure as they showed last week.  Now, add in the article praising the OL (which will go to their heads no doubt) with Rodgers hobbled and this isn't an ideal situation at all.

Too much Murray, too much Dez, too much Witten, not enough Rodgers, and I don't think it will be close.

Dallas 38

Green Bay 24
