We get Ponder as the starter, and Paul Allen will be heard exclaiming "Why do you even ponder passing at this point?" Packers roll, Lacey gets untracked and goes over 100 yards, Adams gets his first NFL TD. Pack up 27-10 at half and win going away, 41-20.

ARodg makes clean plays all over the gridiron, MM smiles.
AR does not commit a QB cardinal sin.
Adams, Quarless, and Starks with TDs.
I am a little worried about this game. The weather forecast calls for rain which may make the running game more important. The Packers have not been able to show that they can run nor stop the run. I think it will be important to get Lacy and Starks on track.

Masthay will be called on to punt at some point in the game.

Yes.
Gin & Tonic, please.
Brats, sauerkraut casserole, home made potato chips, oyster stout
Recently we picked up an oil less fryer, really liking the thick cut fries in it.

That's always the claim but it never seems to work out that way. Rain is no problem and probably helps the passing game as it makes it harder for defenders to operate. The only real problem passing games face is wind and you needs lots of it to affect the passing down on the field as the stadium itself protect the surface.
Now rain might hinder Teddy Small Hands and soak into hi ankle wrap and slow him down but passing should be easy.

Rodgers yesterday said that he hates playing in the rain.
RODGERS: "Rain. Wind. Cold. In that order." On Elements he doesn't like.
RODGERS: "On the film, Davante shows up as being the guy who is open more times than he is not open"
It's hard to believe it's been 25 years:quote:That's always the claim but it never seems to work out that way. Rain is no problem and probably helps the passing game as it makes it harder for defenders to operate.
Whatever they do, the players never put the blame on themselves.
Then don't throw to Jordy quite so much.quote:RODGERS: "On the film, Davante shows up as being the guy who is open more times than he is not open"
Teddy Bridgewater listed as questionable for TNF vs Packers. DNP Monday and Tues, was limited today.
RODGERS: "On the film, Davante shows up as being the guy who is open more times than he is not open"
The question is WHERE is he open?
I'm anticipating the chess match at the beginning of the playoffs where they lose so as not to show their hand for the run to the SuperBowl.
Shoot, I don't really know what to say.....I'm hoping A-12 is over his "yikes", as in "yikes, what was that throw". Their defensive coordinator has given Aaron fits, I'm hoping GB 28 - Queens 21 and that's if Teddy plays, if he doesn't play....saying, GB 28 - Queens 14, *keeping fingers crossed*

Zimmer is a good defensive mind. Doesn't have the horses he had in Cincy, though. George Edwards, their DC, dont recall him as having caused any fits for AR.
The big thing tomorrow night is going to be for the Packer defense to figure out how to contain the run first, and then keep Courderouy from having too many big plays. Not too worried about the offense.
I predict the Vikings have never won a Super Bowl.
The big thing tomorrow night is going to be for the Packer defense to figure out how to contain the run first...
They can start by shrinking that gaping split in the d-line.
Gap split on the d-line is irrelevant if both ILBs decide they are going to converge to the same spot. The more you watch film on this D the more it appears it's not scheme but guys that don't have the first ****ing idea what contain is or the concept of help defense.
Im im quickly coming around on the opinion that Moss is a coaching liability.
Rodgers numbers (small sample size) against Zimmer are bad. Hopefully they are much better come Friday. Greenway out is good news for Lacy, Starks and the TE's.
Lacy finally has a 100+ yard day, Vikings have no trouble running the ball but a few costly turnovers make for a comfortable final score. 31-20.
Satantori uses this as further evidence that the defense doesn't suck.
When Lattimore or Hawk attack the hole they more often than not make the stop. When they are slow to react to the play they get caught in the 2nd level of the run after about 6 or so yards. It is the latter that happened a lot in the CHI game. Also, after [re]watching the games Clay has been missing outside contain too much so far this year.
Agree on Clay and outside contain. It hasn't been good. Contain in general hasn't been good. Seems like too many times the front 6-7 seems hell bent making the perfect play instead of making the play resulting in giving up a big play.
Gotta go with the hot hand:

Not terribly optimistic that the porous Packer run defense will perform much better than it did at Chicago, but AR is the difference.

Vikings fans and media sounding very confident and cocky this morning, set up very nicely for big disappointment. Turnovers will decide this game. Whether it's Teddy B on a bad wheel or Ponder, the Vikings should provide. Packers will need to sustain some drives via the run. Looking for a big game from Starks and Packers win 24-17.
