Thanks Tschmack. I grew up in Central Wisconsin but ended up doing medical research. My PhD is from MIT in Biology (but specifically in cancer genetics) but I went to a liberal arts college for undergrad. I grew up going to Dick Bennett's camps at UWSP and thinking I wanted to be a high school basketball coach.
This forum is a way I can still talk about Wisconsin sports teams which I grew up listening to while we milked cows.
Degrees are nice to have, but some of the smartest people I was ever around were old farmers with 8th grade educations. They could remember things about livestock genetics and weather from decades before. The key was that they never stopped learning even when they no longer went to school.

Uh, should parents be with kids 24/7? Believe me, they can get around any "blocks" you put on the internet. And can you remember what you were like as an adolescent boy? How much would be be paying attention to the material if this was your teacher?
And that's the fault of adult content makers how? Did Hugh Hefner have to shut it down because we found a Playboy under the seat of dad's car/truck? Should all movies be rated G because "kids are going to see them". Or should any woman who has been caught on film wear a scarlet letter and never work amongst "respectable" folks again?

I've been on here probably 16-18 years and I've consciously never mentioned it, but the Anti-Vaxxer stuff really drives me nuts.
