Good defenses do not start a Lancaster, Lowry, King, Barnes, and Campbell.

Can't hide 5 below average starters.

The middle of the Pack's D has been soft and slow since Ted entrusted it to the immortal AJ Hawk.

Gute is just carrying on the legacy of his beloved mentor when it comes to failing to provide sufficient talent on the defensive side of the ball.

That is true...until we stop de-valuing the linebacking corps, this is what we'll see.

I'd like to see Gute find a way to get Whitney Mercilus from the Texans. They're in trade mode and he should be reasonably priced. Josh Allen from Jacksonville would be the dream, but they're not giving up a young, defensive cornerstone.

If the next few games go like the first 3 halves, we might be in trade mode.

You know it's bad when Goff has so much time in the pocket to sit the Lions actually used up too much time on that last play.

Maybe the defense needed a nice, engineered drive, instead of gambling on first down deep in our own territory...

No shit.  Wait, let me take a survey of the proverbial room and see if anyone disagrees.

Nope, it appears nice, engineered drives are a good thing.  Hence, the defense doesn't need to play defense.

When’s the last time we had a defense with an attitude?

2010.

Once 1st round pick Barnett got hurt, the organization was forced to play Desmond Bishop.

Woodson came from outside the organization and ignored the Pack's preference for passivity out of its defenders.

Cullen Jenkins was a royal pain in the arse, but he could play the run and generate a pass rush up the middle.

After winning the Super Bowl, Ted told Cullen to take his talents elsewhere.

He then made AJ Hawk the highest-paid inside linebacker in the NFL and we stamped our D as charmin soft.

Gary looks like he did at Michigan, he doesn’t have a plan. He’s just rushing, no idea what technique he’s going to use, no idea what the OT is going to do, no adjustments mid-rush. You watch Joey Bosa, he’s converting speed to power, he’s chopping hands, he’s working inside, whatever it takes. Gary is just trying to out-athlete everyone and OTs just lock him up.
