"i would be totally fine letting all that defense walk. crosby is the only one worth anything."

Ah, no. You don't "let Mike Daniels walk". I know PFF has it's flaws, but Mike Danials is rated the 3rd best DE in football and the best run-stopping 3-4 DE. The guy makes it happen.

There are other guys on that list worth keeping. Gotta think the Pack still likes Perry, Neal, Raji, Barclay, etc...if their price is reasonable.

Boy, I have a hard time believing Mike Daniels is the 3rd best DE in football.  I see a guy that when double-teamed that can get absolutely wiped out causing some big gaps in the defense.  He's a good player, I just think paying him big money would be a mistake.  I look at his best position as being a 4-3 DT especially for 2nd and 3rd downs.  I don't see the Pack going to a 4-3 D anytime soon.

I could see Mike Daniels being the Randall Cobb of the defense.  A good player, but once you pay him 10 million a year, you realize that he ain't worth 10 million a year.

It's just a rating, and every player gets washed or doubled on occasion. Point is, you don't let him walk, his play is that of one of this defenses best players. He's been incredibly disruptive the last several games. This Packer defense has kept teams at 20 points or less in 7 of 11 games, only the better teams can say that....and he's leading the way. You don't let him walk cause there's nobody on the roster that looks as good, and likely Ted won't be bringing in anybody as good.

as for Cobb, lot of time left on that contract. Glad we didn't lose him.

Wonderful.

@WesHod:  The #Packers list four o-linemen as questionable, including both centers Linsley and Tretter who developed an ankle injury at practice today.

@WesHod:  Damarious Randall also questionable after hurting hamstring today. Ty Montgomery is out, will miss sixth straight game.

@WesHod:  If #Packers RT Bryan Bulaga (ankle) plays Thursday night, it'll be on no practice. Sat out of today's final run-through, as well.

I have been one the 'critcal' ones on this board but I have to say the Pack's slide has coincided with the Puddy's and the Bores playing their best ball (could one say bad luck?). I expect this to be a battle. The crowd will be stoked, the Lions will be stoked (they gotta be thinking, 'we can sweep the Pack?'). This is gut check time like Minny was. Gonna be interesting...
