Maybe coaching overcomes talant?
Maybe stars are horse****?
Bucky has a great defense, should have a strong running game. As long as they don't fall behind anyone to far, it should be a good season.

I think it's all true- and much like we have said about Bo Ryan's teams, you have the coaching imagine what you could do with the talent to boot! I think Chryst is going to be a lot like that.
But the stars can be influenced by who's on the offer list, too. Melvin Gordon was a 3 star recruit- you could see his Freshman year he was going to be special. Ron Dayne was said to be a FB, and he was off the radar and for the "big" schools.
But Joe Thomas was a 4-5 star guy, and he was special from day one.
I wonder if Aranda wishes he was back in Madison? Sure, he got lots more $$$$ at LSU but he may be out of a job if Miles gets fired. They may clean house totally. Aranda would have been good for life if he stayed in Wisconsin.
Aranda has no worries about being employed. I think LSU is a short stop on his way to being a coordinator in the NFL.
Some of the rankings are pure bull****
Lee Evans and Jamar Fletcher were 3 star guys; they are all time Big Ten greats. Had they gone to Michigan or O$U they might have been 5 star guys.
As for Aranda - his defense did their job and L$U gets 5 star defensive guys we could only dream about. Problem is Cam Cameron is an idot and that offense sucks.
You have to realize that the star ratings are set by the Michigans, OSU's, Notre Dame's and Alabama's of this world. If those schools miss on a kid, the clueless ratings organizations reduce their rankings.
It's like the way the draft "geniuses" suddenly adjust their rankings once they start talking to team personnel.
You mean TT. Oh wait, he wouldn't tell them anyway.
The jump to 10 is crazy, but i'll take it!
Les Miles fired...
Aranda has been retained, for now.
I don't think the LSU problem is defense. Aranda will always have future.
They are looking for a QB developing offensive minded guy.....anyone come to mind?
Favre.

Don't even think it. Leave him the hell alone. He's ours for now. Or did you mean Mike Sherman?
Chryst is in his dream job.

This.
Miles won close to 75% of their $EC games, a NC, and another NC appearance. That's pretty impressive and it will be tough to duplicate that winning %

IIRC, Aranda's money is guaranteed, otherwise he wasn't going to take their offer with Miles on the hot seat.
