Frelick was diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left hip Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
The Brewers believe Frelick was able to avoid suffering any structural damage as a result of his collision with the wall in right field Friday, so the 24-year-old will avoid the injured list for now and remain eligible to play in the NL Wild Card Series. Isaac Collins will start in left field Saturday.
