Damn, Frankie gives up 2 in the 5th, now 3-2, they are still batting. now it's on to the 6th
Now 4-2 on small ball in the 6th. still batting, 2 outs guy on 3rd
Cincy ties it with a 2 run HR, still batting, get Frankie out of there. Off to eat dinner, will see where we stand later.

....with 57 RBI's
Ya know......They might wanna think about walking him with 2 runners on. Less damage
Still tied at 4. Top of the order coming up. If Bauers gets up to bat I'd pinch hit for him. Let's get a run or 3 and turn it over to the Air Bender.
HOME RUN CHOURIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Chourio guy could be pretty good when he grows up.

I don't care how good Skenes is pitching he only plays every 5 days. Chourio is doing his thing day after day after day. He's my Rookie Of The Year!

I think Jackson Merrill should be the rookie of the year, but I don't think I trade Chourio for him.
Devin Williams with another adventure of an outing.
Strikeout - Walk - Strikeout - Walk - HBP
Watching Williams pitch is like watching Favre play QB. Always holding your breath.

And gets a ground out to end it.
That was a great play by Bauers to save it for the Crew.
That was a game saving play by Bauers. I think Cruz scores easily from second if that gets by.
WOW!!! Bauers was a ways off the line. Very lucky he got to that grounder.
Good news, magic number is now 16. Bad news, Phillies won, Cubs won, Dodgers and D-backs tied top of 9th.
Jesus, what a game. Could have done without the bottom of the 9th drama.
Go 20-6 and win 100. Possible, but not close to easy.
Go 17-9 and set a club record for wins. That is in play.
Suck on that, Counsell!!
Oh by the way, Honey Nut Chourio. I came up with that tonight.
Eh? Ehhh??
The defense from Perkins and Bauer to end the 6th inning and the 9th inning is as good as it gets.
Perkins did this tonight.

He's played enough innings to qualify for a gold glove, but he's probably not a big enough name to get one, but he deserves one.
He has only 1 error. Also 1 double play and 5 assists. And not like he's 6 and half feet tall like Judge is to pull those fly balls back in play.
Another right handed bat for the outfield. Brewer Hicklin called up from Nashville due to the Sept. 1 roster expansion. Of the 3 division leaders the Brewers have the worst record against left handed pitchers. The extra right handed bat could help. He has never hit with a high average but his OPS for his minor career is .832. D L Hall added also.
And sure enough Hicklin is in the line up playing right field.

Cruz would have scored from first on a ground ball down the line
Myers getting so lit up so far today. The Reds got a guy picked off or it would be much worse.
Reds had 3 hits in the first and Myers has given up a home run and a single to lead off the 2nd.
Get someone warming up in case you need a reliever early to keep this within shouting distance.

Now a walk.
Myers so far has gotten 3 outs (actually 2 since one of the outs was the catcher picking a guy off second) and given up 5 hits and a walk.
And yet the Crew leads 3 - 2 because of an Adames solo homer, and 2 runs from Ortiz after a single and double.
All tied at 3 each after 5
Reds had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs but Myers limited them to 1 run. Now 3 - 3 going into the 6th. Former Brewer Jacob Junis pitching for the Reds.
Going to the 10th. Tied at 3. Monasterio as runner at 2nd pinch running for Hoskins.
Ortiz gets Andruw to 3rd but is out at 1st base. Turang up now.
Monasterio thrown out at the plate then Chourio pops out to end the inning. Hoping for 11 now.
Can't win them all, but I'll take 3 out of 4 (or 2 out of 3) every series from here on out.
It's been a great season that will end with a playoff berth. The only thing that could ruin it would be if they end up as the 3rd best division champion and the Cubs qualify as the last wild-card, and the Cubs beat them in a playoff series.
Other than that, even a first-round playoff loss still has to be considered a massive overachievement.
We start a 3 game series at home with St Louis on Monday, earlier game that starts at 1:10 CT. For the year the Crew leads the series 7-3. It would be great if they can improve on their win totals vs St Louis.
Bury the Cards!
I'm going with Pluck the Cards with a thread title, unless Ammo beats me to it
You got it man. I'll be away from home tomorrow.

I second âPhuck the Cardsâ. ðĨļ
They have absolutely exceeded expectations despite the injuries including Yelich.
The combination of Pat Murphy and Jackson Chourio have probably been the biggest reasons for their success and hopefully this is the year they can break through and make some hay in the postseason. Their path becomes a lot less difficult as a 1 or 2 seed for sure.
