Every year, I post a couple of names I hope and wish the Buccaneers would draft in Round 1 or 2.  This year, if he's still there...Manziel.  If not, then Mike Evans.  In the ensuing rounds, Devonte Adams from Fresno State could be a real sleeper.

I still can't believe we took Gaines Adams over Adrian Peterson...

Major Props To Javier Bardem and Ben Afleck...

Id like to see if Glennon could improve with Doug Martin back, an improved OL and some receivers to throw to, so Id ignore QB and go WR/OL or both (TE)

McCown/Glennon are sufficient tandem for now. just get them some one to throw to besides Jackson.

but damn those new buc unis are horrendous. I actually thought the pewter and red was one of the best in the league. That new design looks like a failed art project

I'd rather have Vince Evans than Pocket Tebow right now as Manziels needs to be sat down and his mechanics and game re-worked. He had an awfully hard time working from the pocket with TWO top-5 pick bookends in college and those defenders just get bigger, faster and better in the pros.

Add in next year's first and it probably still won't get them where they need to be to get Ebron. Their 2 & 4 might get the Bucs Seattle or Denver's first, but that's about it.

Why so much? I would pay no more than a pair of 7's from the 2017 draft. GM's will be falling over themselves to give away the #1 pick for that. Throw in Robert Ferguson as well and we have a FIESTA!!!

I'd go with Evans.  I think QB has become a little overvalued in the draft, with teams taking QB's early b/c they have to have a franchise QB.  Seattle didn't win the Super Bowl b/c Russell Wilson was a franchise QB.  They won b/c they had so much talent elsewhere on that team that Wilson could just do what he's comfortable doing (which is not carrying the team on his back).  I think Seattle wins the Super Bowl last year with about 15 other NFL QB's.  You get enough talent on your team and you just need a QB that is good enough.

This draft reminds me of 2011, when teams like Jacksonville, Minnesota and Tennessee reached for "franchise" QB's, passing on guys like Tyron Smith, JJ Watt, and Robert Quinn.  This draft is too deep to reach for a QB.  Draft the most talent you can and when QB value is there, draft him.

@ Goalline.

Seriously, it took TT 3 picks (a 2nd & (2) 3rds) to get back into the 1st round to draft Clay. On what planet do you think only a 2 & a 4 gets you back into the 1st round? Not even Seattle or Denver make that move.

CUPackFan sssssshhhhhhh

You're giving away the trade secrets! They all need QB's. Especially in the first 20 picks.

Please attack the post and not the poster.  The Bucs need some more home run hitting power from the left side of the plate.  Perhaps that point guard from Fresno State will still be available.

Sorry, CalBuck, wherever you are, but that was a sign of the ineptitude of the team officials for many years to come. Players getting docked for winning a game ball? And for team sweats? No wonder TB was the laughingstock of the league!

"Then there were all the little things, like players getting billed for winning game balls. They’d give you a game ball—and fortunately you didn’t get too many in Tampa Bay—but you’d get your check that week and you’d get dinged for 40 or 50 bucks for the ball."

Amazing.

To be fair to TB, I don't think you can blame them for missing out on the HOFers drafted ahead of their pick in the '89 draft.

Other than that, the Buccaneers deserve the derision thrown their way.

Wow...don't know if I should be happy or sad... we HAD Manziel and we let him slip through our fingers.  Evans won't be bad, a good pick,...but rarely do WR's change a whole franchise.  Oh, what could have been....?

Why not trade our first next year and our second this year and reunite Manziel and Evans???!

Please, please, please, TB, ruin your franchise for years by throwing good draft picks after bad!

Perhaps they can trade up to get a punter, too!

Because their front office isn't staffed by blithering morons.

All those teams much more needy than Tampa and they passed on pocket tebow also.

Yeah, well, the Law of Averages says ONE day, the Browns will pick the right QB and this was the day...

Well, now I will be watching Browns games on DirecTV after Bucs game.  If Browns can land a top RB in Round 2, that will help Manziel add on to Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron.
