The swimming has been unreal. World records falling!
The entire summer games has been excellent and seeing the athletes all support each other regardless of country is quite impressive. The world needs a LOT more of that.

I was impressed with how good Laurie Hernandez was with adding insights during the gymnastics events.
100M was awesome. I was focused on lanes 1-3 where the favorite was, and didn't even realize that lane 6 or something had won. Waiting on the 200M later this week.
I have not watched any of it and do not plan to going forward. The only thing I'm paying attention to, besides reading some headlines, is checking out the overall medal count for the USA.
My family watched the mens 10K. Usually in the 10K, the runners basically jog (for them) most of the race and then sprint the last small part of the race. The field ran hard the entire race this time and it was a great. The former Olympic record was 27:07 and the gold medalist this year cut 24 seconds off that. In fact, the top 13 guys this year all ran faster than the previous Olympic record. Grant Fisher, from the US, won bronze. My son ran against him (or, more accurately, ran way behind him) in some cross country races while he was in high school in Michigan.

Hello from the Binghamton area of NY. Our camp is on Skaneateles Lake & we've visited Montezuma a couple of times.
