Al, you're welcome to post here. Yuck doesn't speak for X4.
Mr. Yuck, a word with you in my chambers. Thanks.
Don't worry Boris, I would let one a-hole deter me...
Any win is satisfying. Right now, ill take a win vs. the Bears over this.
Anyways, Favre should hang it up. He came back for the playoffs, it isn't happening. The Queens would probably want to evaluate Joe Webb or TJack. It's time to retire.

I think given everything involved - Favre and basically ending their season and probably Chilly's coaching tenure in Minnyhaha, it's probably at the top of the list. Good topic
It's hard for me to think of a more satisfying win this decade than what we had today. It's true that it wasn't significant as far as the playoff situation is concerned, but considering that it was over the vikings -- at their home, with that damn horn, with all the classless vikings fans, and especially with Pevre as the QB -- just makes my heart dance.
Brint just isn't any other NFL quarterback. He's the one who we supported for 16 years, through thick and thin, through his drug addiction, through the death of his father, through Deanna's cancer. And how did he pay us back? By finagling his way to our most hated rival just so that he could stick it to us. And stick it to us he did last year, with two humiliating defeats.
Well, this year it feels damn good to pound him to the turf and send him home as the broken, pathetic, worn-out quarterback who he is. He shouldn't have come back this year, but I have to say that I'm really glad he did. I'd hate for last year's losses to go unavenged.

A few come to mind to me
Someone mentioned Ravens in 2001. That was a nice win.
I thought of the win at New England in 2002. They beat the Pats 28-10 that year in dominating fashion.
Then there's the 2004 game at Metrodome that basically helped GB win the division.
However, I think the win today was satisfying because it helped Rodgers get the money off his back. While Minnesota isn't a good team this year it's always a big deal to win there, and the fact that they kicked their butts made it that much sweeter.

I bet Rodgers would rather have money on his back than some chimp

Hey, back to the topic! That was my point. With all the Favre back story, embarrassing the Vikings in their home, etc. This one just FEELS extra good.

Pretty much a 100% ditto here, especially the last paragraph.

My pleasure...and honor.

double ditto on the last paragraph. Very well said!
The Packers could lose the rest of their 2010 games and I would still be a happy guy. Not that I want it to happen. But if it did, I'd be okay.

I was wrong.

Ya know, I honestly expected the Packers could end up winning just like they did. But I was not able to get a real grasp of whether it would happen. Ya just never know. And then the 4th quarter started and I thought..."oh great, will it be another TOG come back for the history books".
So, I kept my fingers crossed and just hoped for a good game.
Love how MM took ARod out of the game -- in the other guys' house! I have to think that was an "in your face" to Favre from MM, and a message to ARod that he now has fully taken over and has MM's confidence. It also shows how many GB fans were there at the end to cheer him out. ![](https://packers.timesfour.com/fileSendAction/fcType/12/fcOid/330620847532878604/fodoid/330620847532878605/imageType/MINI_THUMBNAIL/inlineImage/true/254107241avatar)
Nah, didn't have enough respect yards and a real lack of speed and tackle breaking makes it had to say that a game where the Packer beat their opponent (a heated rival at trhat) by 28 points, a season sweep of said heated rival since 97?, didn't allow that rival to score a touchdown, caused that rival to start questioning/fighting amongst themselves/down right lying down, etc etc was the most satisfying win of the decade.

Lets not get stupid ... I wouldn't.
The Green Bay Packers have been there before, Expect Victory and don't be Okay with losing the rest of our games.
I enjoy every win, but admit beating a divisional opponent has a special ring to it. Demoralizing Favre was especially fun.
But I hate when people say, "we just need to beat the Bears/Vikings and the season is a success. I want playoffs, those are the wins that give me satisfaction.

Really? I'd be seriously disappointed and extremely pissed off, personally. But, yeah, embarrassing that d-bag does have a certain degree of satisfaction, for sure.

Ditto...good post.
I would add I also really enjoyed see the Viking players fighting and bitching at each other. Defensive players getting in each others face....fun stuff. Seeing that and knowing the King Favre had a hand in the chemistry coming unglued was really fun to watch.
I was hoping for a Superbowl title this year, so that would be pretty crushing. Anything less than a strong showing in the playoffs will be a major letdown
Suprised the Vikes didn't try to burn Sam Shields.

I think they tried; they just weren't very good at it.

I don't know about most satisfying but the last few weeks have all been satisfying. I work with alot of DAL fans so that was fun! The NYJ game was good but it was closer than I thought it would be. I expected the D to stop them but thought the O would score more. Still a win against a team that most media has already anointed was good. I did take a bit of satisfaction out of watching MIN players arguing on the sidelines.
This game doesn't come close for me. I also look back at that Ravens game as well as many others against teams that haven't given up. Dallas last year was better than this year, for example. The Eagles and Jets games this year were more satisfying, as was even the first Vikings game. Coming back against Seattle in the playoffs a couple of years ago was also. The Saints game in '05 is one I'll likely remember more.
Were it not for it being the Vikings, today's game would have been a bit.....dull? After the first quarter there wasn't much drama, no real question of the outcome after half time. No being underdogs and beating a team coming off a Super Bowl win, just taking care of business against a washed up team.
Every win is a good win, but this one doesn't stick out to me more than many of the others.

Nowhere near the most satisfying.
The Vikes are terrible this year, everyone is beating them.
Last year, when they were good and the Packers were good, they swept us, Packers never laid a finger on Favre and they sacked Rodgers like 67 times.
The Vikes heads are still in the Superdome, still thinking about last season, beating them now doesn't mean all that much really.
Just like when the Packers finally beat Dallas in 1997...it was too late...Dallas had already won the war and they were in decline.

I was at the Snow Globe playoff win against Seattle, and that was probably the most I've enjoyed a win. But today definitely rivals it, and easily takes it for regular season.
Anytime you best a division rival by 28 in their building it's a very satisfying win.
Herschel,
Check your pulse then.![Smiler](http://timesfour.com/x4graemlins/icon_smile.gif)

Boris: You took the words out of my mouth> Maybe Brent is going to call Greta and explain how "Lorenzo" fell out of his pants while he was texting his wife and this caused him to misdial Sterger!
I also will never forgive Brent for his actions in 08! His whining when he came back and they wouldn't make him the starter forever besmirched him in my eyes! His 30 minutes of throwing GB under the bus on ABC caused me to quit watching ABC. Brent is getting just what he deserves!
