That’s not a much ado... it’s a window into something. I think they will put things together, but I think it’s the crack starting to show in the foundation.
Durant was never really one of them, was he? They won it all without him... but he joins them, and suddenly the team that had already won a title, and was one suspension away from winning a second after winning 73 games, and then this guy comes in and all anyone talks about is how he’s the second best player.
It would not shock me that after all is said and done, Green thinks Durant is a punk because he joined a stacked team to win a title(s), knowing full well he’s leaving after this season having gotten what he wanted.
Durant is a complex guy. He seems likable but then you find out he had ghost Twitter accounts bashing others. He leaves OKC and bites his tongue with all the criticism, but every once in a while he drops a comment or two that would suggest maybe he isn’t the great teammate and a little more self centered and selfish than you would think.
I was surprised how Butler’s reputation and antics changed recently but maybe that’s how Jimmy Butler really is. Same with the rumors you hear about Kyrie Irving and Chris Paul.
What I do find interesting is chemistry in the NBA can make or break your squad. That’s why Butler going to Philly could actually harm them and the same could be said for the current Celtics team. They played a lot better down the stretch last year with Kyrie on the sidelines.
Anecdote.....I was watching PTI yesterday, Mike Wilbon was talking about a GSW game from a couple of years ago that he attended and reported on. DG and KD had words about something and appeared on edge. WIlbon asked one of them (can't remember which one) if there was true bad blood between them. The player responded 'he is coming over to my house to watch the Super Bowl'.
This latest dust up does appear to be a bit more, both are quirky and DG can and will get under anyone's skin. Kerr will get the house in order and baring injury will have them in the finals again.
Given how pissy Kyrie supposedly got with LeBron (being a second fiddle) nothing really surprises me anymore.
These guys are paid to be aggressive, Type A players that always want and demand the ball but it’s got to be challenging as a coach to keep all the egos in check.
Durant bailed a great situation in OKC as the top dog for the easy chance to win a ring in GS but I’m sure he realized that will always be Steph Curry’s team.
It’s a weird dynamic in that some of these players would rather be “the guy” and lose than relinquish some of their status and placement on the pecking order and win.
Plus Green is just a dick. He’s always mouthing off, trying to start shit.

Dray & KD won't be on the same team next year
KD is gone. He’s a lot like Kyrie and Butler but a lot more passive aggressive. Durant wants his own team. His decision to leave OKC was such a bitch move because that team was right there and he took the easy way out. At least LeBron tried the first time around in Cleveland but Durant has no heart or loyalty IMO.
Green might be a dick but he’s pretty damn important to that team. If I am GS I do everything I can to honor Klay and Green and bring them back.
So 7 years for LeBron in Cleveland is "trying" but KD leaving OKC after 9 years shows he has no heart or loyalty. Hmmm, OK.
I think Draymond might be gone & KD might stick around. Think about suspending Draymond for a minute. Management thought long & hard about the decision to do so, I promise you that. The suspension came from Lacob to Myers & Kerr was on board.
I'm not joking. This is a business decision. A MONEY decision.
Next year, the W's have a brand new arena to fill & tickets are NOT cheap. (Average price about $250-$300?) What sells tickets? Draymonds defense? I don't think so.....KD's scoring? Yup, that sells tickets. FYI, KD's defense is pretty damn good too but gets over-shadowed because his offense is pretty....it's sooo soo pretty.
KD will either stay on the W's or maybe he'll come to Milwaukee & play with the Freak! 
But either way, I think this is the last season KD & Dray play together. Yes I think it's that serious, however, I do think both will put their differences aside to try & win another "Larry"

The thing that a lot of people leave out of the Durant/OKC discussion is that Durant had just seen the lack of commitment to fielding the best team possible by OKC ownership. Instead of extending a 22 year-old James Harden at 5 years and 80 million, they decided they didn't want to pay the luxury tax and traded him for about 30 cents on the dollar.
If OKC keeps Harden, I doubt Durant leaves.
OKC with Ibaka and Westbrook and Adams and KD was plenty talented enough to beat the Warriors in a playoff series. In fact, it took a colossal meltdown 3 years ago to make that a reality. But it wasn’t a guarantee. Durant leaving OKC to form the super team was an easy title.
I hated LeBrons move to Miami but there is no way you can compare the level of talent around him (LeBron) even close to what Durant had in OKC. Plus the Cavs owner is a ****ing idiot.
In the end, Durant could have had the key to the city in OKC instead of being a second fiddle in The City.
Ultimately it won’t matter as Durant got his ring and now he just wants to get paid.
Draymond Green can get on your nerves but this is one situation I actually agree with him.

Maybe... and that’s fine. Their run ends after this year. But I hope they have all been keeping track of things like age, mileage, etc. After this season, they won’t have a single key player on the roster under 30, and they will likely have played in 6 straight Finals runs.
The era of Giannis is upon the league, and the All Star game simply demonstrated that. Folks are proclaiming that the fact that Giannis’ team lost the AS game is proof that Lebron still controls the league, that the torch passing moment hasn’t happened, apparently weren’t watching the game. Curry and Westbrook shot the Giannis team out of the game while Durant shot the Lebron team into it- but of course no one was talking about that. In fact, you could almost say that the play of Westbrook and Curry was almost by design. Like they were trying to take that away from Giannis.
So while Lebron and his teat sucking media will (falsely) proclaim no one has dethroned King James, and Green will proclaim no one can beat the Warriors, they are all very much aware... the Beast from the East has risen. The 2019 playoffs will confirm it- the league is Giannis’.
