and Iowa wins, to make the BIG10 6 - 0 so far.......it’s up to Bucky now.

No problem Goldie,  yes oregon has played very well winning their last 8 games, but they haven't played anybody, except Washington, and they'll get clipped this afternoon by utah state. Shoot my mama, and 4 or 5 of her sheepshead buddies could go 500 in the pac 12.   There is a reason the Badgers are considered a top 15 team, with the third best defense in the country.  In other words if we shoot well from the three, I don't give a hoot what oregon  does, because it won't matter.

nailed it.... 6 for 30 from 3 point land, ugh

something about u couldn't hit water from a boat.

"Happ is a top 5 Badger all time"

I can't agree.  If he could shoot outside the paint and make 70% of his free throws, maybe.

1. Frank Kaminsky

2. Michael Finley

After that, I think Happ compares fairly well with anyone else in terms of total contributions. He's in the group with Sam Dekker, Nigel Hayes, Bronson Koenig, and Jon Leuer.

He's probably the second best post player they've ever had (behind Frank), a top 2-3 rebounder, a top 2-3 interior post defender, the best passing big man they've ever had, and often brings the ball up.

If he had an outside shot, he'd have been in the NBA 3 years ago. That doesn't mean he didn't make major contributions and won't graduate as one of the best Badger players in history.

He's scored in double figures in 113 of his 138 Badger games. He was arguably the best player on 2 Sweet 16 teams (he, Hayes, and Koenig all averaged 14 points a game in Happ's sophomore year and Happ lead the team in assists, steals, blocks, and rebounds). He's played in 6 NCAA tourney games and averaged 15 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 38 for 60 from the floor (63%) and 28 for 44 from the line (63%).

Yes. It's very possible Happ goes about 3 for 16 from the line today and they lose because of it, but it doesn't diminish how great a college player he's been.

Alando Tucker, devin Harris.  Rashad Griffith.  Missed a few there

...Kirk Penney,  Trevon Hughes...

Mike Kelley,  Mike Wilkerson and John Luere.  Also Mark Vershaw.

now that ive looked at my updated bracket,  I had Wisconsin playing Virginia in the sweet 16, next weekend, with Virginia winning,  so i guess im still on life support.

major bummer today

Like to give a lot of credit to the Oregon defense, but sure appeared to be just poor shooting to me.

In the three post-season games (2 Big 10 tourney games and 1 NCAA games), this was their 3 point shooting. A total of 9 for 57 from your main shooters says a lot. Add, Reuvers and these are your returning players next year.

Brad Davison was 1 for 17

Brevin Pritz was 0-6

D. Trice was 5-20

Kobe King was 1-5.

Aleem Ford was 2-9.

Reuvers was only 9 for 27 total (2s and 3s).

The inside guys were fine. Iverson was 14 for 23 and Happ was 17 for 34 from the field in the 3 games.

I know everyone's ripping on Happ, but I'd still say only Kaminsky, Finley, Leuer, Tucker, and Harris were better.

It's not Happ's fault that the guards he's surrounded with aren't that good. You put Tyler Herro on this team and everything looks completely different. Herro's decommit to go to Kentucky was the difference between 23 wins and 30 wins and being competitive in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8.

Gotta be more than one Greg stiemsma fan on here.

We are talking best Badgers, but if you want to talk pro careers... he’s been better than Penny, Griffith, Tucker, Wilkinson, Butch, and Landry.

Finley, Harris, Frank the Tank, Leuer.  Those would be the better pro’s than Stiemsma.  Better than first round pick Paul Grant.

LSU first team into the sweeeeeeeeeeet  16 this year, 2019

any chance Woffard  can upset Kentucky,  Wildcats are favored by 5 but are without leading scorer, and rebounder PJ Washington, out with a foot sprain.

sec 6-2

big ten 7-2

and how is it Michigan State plays Minnesota??  They’re both from Big 10 how do they play in same section??  Or doesn’t that really matter what conference they’re in.

When a conference has more than three teams in the tournament, the committee tries to seed the teams so that they cannot meet until the regional final. Before 2006, this was an absolute rule. However, in the summer of 2005, the NCAA changed its rules to allow intraconference matchups as early as the second round of the tournament, assuming that all measures to keep the teams apart until the regional finals have been exhausted. The NCAA was preparing for the chance that a conference would place more than eight teams in the tournament,

Glad Villanova went down, too!

Hey now - don’t be stomping on the defending champs.

(My wife teaches there. However, I only had them winning 2 games. They lost a ton of talent from last year)

Michigan got trounced by Texas Tech. That leaves Michigan State and Purdue as the only remaining BIG 10 teams in the Tournament. Purdue could have lost, easily, to a tough Tennessee team. Purdue got off to a great start and then in the second half, they let the Vols back into it and then beat the Vols in OT.  MSU plays LSU today to get to the Sweet 16 and Purdue plays Virginia tomorrow to get to the Elite Eight. Sounds like two very good games to watch. The game I'm most interested in, today though, is the Houston-Kentucky game. GO HOUSTON!

It is always wide open but more a higher percentage of brackets have Duke winning it than any team in recent years. UNC has far exceeded everyone's expectations with only one NBA pick on their roster. IMHO there are 7 teams with a legitimate chance; Duke, UNC, MSU, Michigan, Kentucky, Gonzaga, & UVA. These are the only teams that are in the top 20 in both offense & defense in Pomeroys rankings.

NC has at least two NBA picks, maybe three. Coby White and Nassir Little will probably both be taken top 20. Little probably top 10 and I wouldn't be surprised if White goes before 15. Wouldn't surprise me if Cam Johnson is taken 1st round as well and someone will dump a 2nd rounder on Luke Maye.
