+Lacy is a bad ass,

+so is Starks,

+ so is Mashtay

+Pay Shields now!....Forte in the open field is hard to bring down

- Ted Thompson...I love you uncle Ted...and I certainly have grown complacent over the years with  the durability at QB....and yes...the old adage-----there is no replacing Rodgers--but this demonstrates a massive hole he could not or would not fill....Matt Flynn wins this game....A decent  QB that is with the Packers thru Training Camp wins this game..Wallace was a negative today...he seemed lost at times--not understanding lanes or how to avoid the most basic pressure.

-McCarthy not challenging the Quarless catch...What are you saving that for?...Have some sprint plays out of the pocket  for Wallace----were they that afraid of him getting hurt?

-I think the Late love affair with AJ Hawk is officially over.

We know now what Wallace can do: hand off to Lacy.

Our third- and fourth-stringers are pretty darn good. We are scrapping the bottom of the barrel for personnel and they didn't embarass themselves (ok, last drive excepted).

Lacy is darn good.

We will get to see why they paid to keep Tolzien if Rodgers is out, possibly even next week if Rodgers can't go. I'd rather see Tolzien than WhoCares?Wallace again.

Raji was stout and the second-best player on the field tonight.

Injuries. Rodgers out. Lang out? Mulumba out?

Capers' choice of personnel. No Hyde? No Banjo? No Lattimore? Why?

D's inability to get some sort of stop and Betty White could have gained big yards considering how they tackled.

My prediction unfortunately came true that I thought Peppers would want to play well on national TV. He sucked until tonight.

So.... if Rodgers is out for a month or more, do you sign Flynn now?

Heckova post.

- not sticking with the run on 3rd and 3 at the bears 40 was confusing.

you got 2 plays in that situation. The sack killed our last shot

- also it was first and goal at the 7 (I think) right after the running game was gashing em and Wallace comes out firing. I don't get it.

+ Lacy, Starks....duh

- pass rush/tackling

- Wolfpack/ Pack lose at home on same weekend against crappy rivals and neither team has a QB  Im one ornery bastard

I didn't get to pay that much attention to the game, had it on, but a lot of work and family drama crapped on me.  From what I saw, Seneca Wallace sucks. Can't throw. Can't run. Doesn't seem to know what he's doing. Not sure why he is here. I mean I know there isn't a plethora of great QBs that you can have on your bench sitting out there as free agents but... Surely we should have been able to come up with something better than that.

That McCarthy non-challenge... I thought that was obviously worth a challenge, but aforementioned crap kept me from catching all the replays. Seemed to me like he got possession before his knee hit out of bounds.

On the bright side, if this dumpster fire of a QB situation persists at least we have some bad teams coming up. Though all of a sudden beating the Eagles of all teams seems like a Herculean task.

That stuck out to me too. Don't get why they let Wallace throw at all when they were only down by 4 late in the 3rd/early in the 4th. RTFB. Rest your D and get a score. I really doubt CHI could have stopped them.

+ Lacy and Starks. Run game in general

+ ST did a solid job

- Rodgers hurt, disaster for this team

- Wallace at QB, disaster for this team

- Defense. Very disappointing performance. NEeded them to rise to the occasion and they melted. Trestman with great playcalling. D got zero pressure, secondary was awful, tackling was awful. McCown looked like Peyton Manning back there

Positives= Lacy and BJ.

Negatives: Lots. I'm not gonna pick on S. Wallace because he gave what a journeyman backup cold off the bench could be expected to give. Lots different than my in-game rants.

But the defense as whole and the tackling in particular were horrible. And I've never seen a player who did not suffer a major leg injury go to crap as quickly as T. Williams has. Bush wasn't targeted anymore than he's being.

Edit:  in my opinion that is how I took his comment about the defense not stepping up.

The defense sucked tonight. Zero pass rush. Poor tackling across the board. Couldn't stop a backup quarterback on third down. I'm tired of Capers' performance. His units have continually come up short in the playoffs, and they blew it tonight, too. When we need the defense to step up, it fails time and time again.

Chicago took the ball late with a 4 point lead, and drove the length of the field, taking more than 8 minutes off the clock before kicking a FG to give them a 7 point lead. Can anybody on this team strip the ball, or get an interception? The Bears are masters of doing this, but I guess we have to actually be in a position to tackle a guy with the ball, which is hard enough for us.

Just once when I'm able to see the Pack play, I would like to have the game on the line, and see the defense win the game for us.

+ Rushing attack -- they ran for 200 yards with zero threat to throw the ball. No matter what happens with Rodgers this season, I'm thrilled that he and Lacy and hopefully a healthy o-line will be together for a few more years

+ McCarthy halftime speech -- they came out on fire in 2nd half and loved the surprise onside call. It's worth mentioning with all the hothead coaches out there, I love that MM keeps an even keel and doesn't let his team feel sorry for itself.

- Obviously the back-up QB situation has been badly bungled. Wallace looked incapable of throwing the ball ten yards down the field and couldn't get it over Peppers several times. He couldn't even scramble out of trouble. Just brutal.

- For the last few years we've seen Capers outsmart the Bears coaching staff. It looks like those days are gone with Trestman. The Bears were totally prepared for everything Green Bay schemed. This has always been my concern with Capers -- too predictable and a smart o-coordinator or elite QB makes him pay

-Beyond Capers, there's a real problem when a back-up QB leads a 95 yard drive at the end of the half and then an 8 minute drive at the end of the game. Heyward looked awful in coverage and tackling. Despite the Rodgers injury, this game was winnable thanks to the blocked punt, onside kick, and great running. Not a good showing by the D at all.
