He's a turd.

Their situations aren't exactly the same, but they're close enough to compare:
One one hand the starting QB of a team got benched. Not because he was playing bad, or being a turd, but more because ownership wanted to play with their shiny new toy.
He was displeased and disappointed, and rightfully so, but remained a professional and was ready when his team needed him again.

On the other hand a nicknamed turd was acquired by a team. And he was such a professional, he showed up grossly overweight and nowhere close to being in playing shape. And doubt he did much to change any of that.
He could've been a professional, and like Fandame said, worked harder and be at the ready when he would be needed, But he chose not to.

Now which guy would you want on your team?

Welp...  @Pakrz should be happy....I think

WTAF??

I swear to Christ.....if he fucks up this locker room....

nah, he's just a rental - give some breathers, if he gets stupid, you cut him, but I think this is great - hard to find men that size that can 'sort of' play.  he's not in his prime, but he knows how to play and can spell the other guys.

He played in Detroit, of course he only played in one playoff game.

I don’t see an issue having him active.  There’s enough low end turds in the middle that it’s not an issue.  I don’t care if he shows up on the stat sheet as long as he’s taking up blockers for Kenny.

At a minimum he’s a big body that can eat space, it’s not like Lancaster and Rush are entrenched. Get him in the rotation and let him eat. If he’s washed up or has a bad attitude then cut him. Literally no downside to this move.

All they need from him is to fit in the rotation, not necessarily be an all-pro. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. But for all the shit Gute has taken, this is a good low risk proposition, and if it works out, it makes the defense just a bit more stout at the right time.

Just so long as they don't drop him in coverage.  That's reserved for Preston.

Historically DTs dropping into coverage has been a positive for GB...
