I predict that he will not play another down in the NFL, but won’t make that decision for a long while.

I agree. 40 year old body parts don’t heal as well or as fast as 20 year old body parts.

As I said earlier in the thread, for all the crap that Rodgers pulled the past couple years, I still sort of liked the guy and wouldn’t have minded if he got another Super Bowl ring with the Jets.

Watching him tonight was rough.  Honestly, he looked more jittery and nervous than I can ever remember.  I guess he had good reason to feel that way, he knew he was going to take a beating.  That O-Line was shaky and Rodgers knew it right away.

Hopefully by some miracle it isn’t season ending, but it sure sounds like it is.

Sucks for any fan of the game. Even more so after watching Hall and Wilson tonight. But I'm not gonna lie, if it was bound to happen, I'm glad it wasn't in the Green and Gold. That opener against the Bores four years ago was just as frightful when he went down. I feel for his coaches and teammates, but not the fans. The amount of shit they talked all spring was enough to wish an Achilles tear on all of them.

For what it's worth on the play he got injured he had a guy coming across the middle who was open, he saw him, and decided not to throw it there and instead rolled out to extend the play.  That's when he got injured.

Certainly didn't deserve to be injured but not taking a play that was there, not throwing over the middle and instead trying to extend the play and play hero ball like he always does is what in the end did him in.

Yes. the OL was shaky, but if Rodgers had gotten rid of the ball earlier to the wide-open guy crossing, that injury likely doesn't happen. Holding onto the ball and trying for a big play instead of taking the easy, timing throw is something Rodgers has been doing for a couple of years now. Tonight it caught up to him.

I didn't want him to win a ring, but I sure didn't want his season to end like this.

Joe Douglas has some interesting decisions to make, one of them being what to do with Cobb. Is the charity slot on the 53 still applicable if 8 isn't there for the rest of the season? Is he going to release him and risk getting on Rodgers bad side? Do they suddenly not care if they think Rodgers will never play again?

The Jets front office is going to have some very uncomfortable conversations over the next few days.

Does anyone think Rodgers is going to come to a quick decision on retiring? I'd like to think he knows it's over, but he's got his own way of processing the unfolding of the universe.

How many Jets fans are trying to cancel their Jersey orders tonight?

ugh, jets winning and Rodgers not getting to that 65% not best scenario for draft

Karma, or is that only a thing when something happens you want, kind of like rich/famous people in past lives?

Lol ...heyyyyyy...... Rodgers didn't send her a dick pic did he?? 😁

I think Jen was commenting on the Jets org. I don't think they treated her all that well back in 2010.

Packers get a second round pick guaranteed if Rogers doesn't play another snap ever in the NFL.

Rodgers has to play 65% of the offensive plays for the Packers to get a first round draft pick

He played more than 65% of their first possession.🤷‍♀️

Jets D is for real. Jets can win 9 or 10 with that D and running game, maybe more.

Josh Allen had 4 TO's and they still had to go to OT to win.  Yes the Jets D is for real but it was for real last year too and they didn't make the playoffs.

If Zach Wilson plays within himself, and conservative (aka the Brock Purdy plan) the Jets can go a long way and possibly make the playoffs with defense, running game plus Special Teams. It really does work but Zach cannot play hero ball and get into trouble with turnovers.

My already-healthy doubts about Zach Wilson ratcheted up when with just more than 3 minutes before the half he threw the INT directly to the LB, ala Fields to Quay. Wilson definitely stared down the receiver and then didn't see the LB standing right in the way. It will be interesting if the Jets sign another QB, although I don't know who is even out there who would be an upgrade.

What I don’t get is given the sorry state of the Jets OL and Rodgers supposedly being a smart guy why he didn’t see quick release passes as a necessary survival tactic?

You make a good point but forgot one major detail…he’s Zach fucking Wilson.
