A lot has been said and written about how Cincy is the sexy pick to represent the AFC in the Superbowl, but if the Packers can find a way to win they will erase that frustrating loss against SF.

It won't be easy but one factor is that the Bengals will be playing on MNF against their hated rival and I really think that favors the Packers.   The Redskins had nothing today after playing a divisional rival on MNF and it's a short week to prepare.

Clamp down on AJ Green and don't let Atkins and that DL go nuts and I think the Packers come out on top

DEEZ NUTS!

Since Starks was hot today and the week after is a bye week, I think they rest Lacy for 2 weeks.  Don't get me wrong, I'm dying to see him in there.  I just think they won't play him.

I think Franklin's problem is his pass pro.  Once he gets that down, I'd love to see him get some screen passes to see what he can do.  Clearly he's not a power back.

I'd guess it depends on what his concussion history is. If he doesn't play next week, that'll be 3 week gap in game action for him with the bye coming up after the Bengals. Not a good thing for a rookie, so maybe that will play a role in the decision.

Different game, different scheme. AJ Green is fantastic. But Ginger doesn't have the mobility of Kaepernick, the Bengals O-line isn't as good as the Niners, nor is there running game as good.

It'l be a good test on the road, but the Packers will defense will play differently against Green than they did against Boldin, especially if Burnett and/or Hayward is back. I'm more concerned about covering the TEs.

NOBODY can cover AJ Green. You just have to accept the fact he's gonna get his plays. Packers just need to limit them.

Having Burnett back, I think, would help more than matching him up on a certain CB.

Cincy's defensive line is insane and  our offensive line doesn't match up well. Rodgers will probably be sacked 4 or 5 times. But what's new?

I think we're going to be surprised by how well the D plays in this game. Dalton is not threat to take off and run, so I anticipate Capers will rush him hard and let the CBs press their WRs. The scary thing on that offense, in the context of this game, isn't AJ Green it's those TEs. 1 good receiving TE is a threat, 2 is going to be tough. The Safetys will have to step up.

The other scary part of this game is Geno Atkins vs. Lang/EDS. He's an elite talent, they will have to be on their game.

Sez the guy whose team gave up 30 to the worst QB in the NFL.

While his assessment of the Bengals is pure projection,

14 of the Vikes points did come from defense/special teams.

What's both discouraging and encouraging is that Rodgers was sacked 4 times yesterday and was still very efficient and accurate with the football.  Pass protection is key again this week against a good Bungles D, but it's nice to know Rodgers can virtually make any throw at any time while under pressure.  I am watching cincy closely tonight against Pittsburgh.  If Pittsburgh can run effectively against them, I like our chance to next week.

My first impression is that Cincinnati is like Detroit with better (but not perfect) self control.  Decent QB.  Great #1 WR.  Pretty good to excellent front seven.  They may be better in the secondary than Detroit, but I'm not sure.  They had 8 penalties last week.

It will be very interesting to see what they do to Rothlisberger tonight.

This will be a big test for the Packers OL as the Bengals front is among the very best in the league. Keeping Rodgers healthy going into the bye-week is priority number one. Points will not come easy and the Packers defense will itself need to pressure Dalton who is capable of big plays but also is inconsistent. Pressure him into a few mistakes and take away a win on the road.

I don't agree. The Cincy front is really good- if they drop 7 and dare the Packers to run, which they should, they have the horses up front to destroy the running game too.
They're goin to have to pass to win This one. And like all cover 2 dominant schemes, there are creases in the seams and on the sideline to take advantage of. I find it highly unlikely the Packers will effectively run the ball.
