The NFL should do away with the mandatory extra point try on a TD with no time left at the end of regulation. It serves no purpose.
Good one.

Watching the Bell touchdown run from behind the play and from Skycam -- whoa, what a run. Bell sifted past, over, around and ultimately through all that trash on the goal line. Great effort by a great player.
It's nice to see an NFL team actually go for a win instead of settling for overtime. There was a stat a few weeks ago, Bell converts 1 yard runs like 75% of the time.
Those are much better odds than settling for overtime.
Especially when you consider the level of fan support the Steelers had tonight. Typically the visiting team plays for the win. Their fans were loud.
How pathetic is it that your visiting fans are so loud you can't hear your own teams calls at home?
When the Packers played there in 2011 the Bolts had to start using a silent count because Pack fans were so numerous and so loud
It was fun being part of that. There were so many Packer fans there that day it just about felt like a home game. After the game all you could hear were Go Pack Go chants.
Well I was hoping for a Bolts win but nevermind. I had no idea they were this bad in so many areas. That's the kind of loss some teams just never get over.
Lacy is also salivating. He and/or Starks should have big numbers on Sunday.

What if it's blocked and run back for a TD?
It's worth 2 points now. In the past it was a dead ball, same with a turnover while going for 2. I think they changed that this year.. It may be a kick returned is worth 1 and a 2 point try worth 2, not positive.
I am am confident that part of Extra point rule changes was that it is no longer dead ball on a turnover.

You are thinking of a field goal block.
If you block an extra point you can return it for a score, but only get 2 pts.
If your coach is dumb enough to kick it with a one or two point lead, (instead of kneeling down in 'victory' formation), he deserves to lose.
But the point is still valid.
I should amend my comment to say that it serves no purpose with a three or more point lead and, at least theoretically a very very small chance of being meaningful, (if the coaching staff is blazingly stupid), with a one or two point lead.
It's so strange that 2 teams muddle along for 50 minutes of play, then the last 10 minutes are WFO. It's happened a lot this past weekend, if not this year.
I'm just as glad the game ended the way it did. The Bolts are bound to be demoralized, and I hope a funk hangs around them for awhile.
I hated that the Steelers won if for no other reason than they employ Michael Vick, but at least he took a beating. I hope it feels good, you vermin-ridden SOB.
The only 'weapon' MV ever had was speed. And now that it's mostly gone, he's not much more than a sandlot QB.

IMO there's been more bad football so far this season than I can recall aside from watching replacement players during the strike season.
Almost as if a lot of players are half-assing it to avoid injury until crunch time. More and more like the NBA.
Nahh. Couldn't be. This is the N F L
Protecting the bank account Shield.
The career stats on Vick are pretty bad. Matt Flynn would be a better option.
Like I said, Vick is washed up now, but career ? He's got about 150 more TDs than Matt Flynn.
The past is the past. What can you do for me today? Vick = nothing.
Flynn had 1 great game and1 good game in his career
Would that comeback in Dallas be on that list?
Yup
With his ability to render Antonio Brown nearly useless, it's fair to call Mike Vick a shutdown quarterback.
