I think we gotta win out. I don't think 9-7 will win the division.
I see us winning out at 10-6, getting division but getting stuck at third seed as Seahawks get by at 10-5-1. Washington takes us on in the first round (deja vu) but this time at Lambeau where we get the win and then deja vu all over again as we go to Seattle to take them on at home. This time we win by playing 60 minutes and end up going to Dallas...
Mr Tittle, do you reside in Colorado or Washington?
LOL
No. Sober as a judge.

Agreed. I think it's entirely possible only 8-8 wins this division. I could see a tie between multiple NFC North teams at the end of the year, and the Pack winning those tie breakers if things fall the way I think they might.
Beat the Texans and move on.
Best I see GB is 10-6 and the 4 seed.

I like your optimism, but let's see them put two good games together before we get too excited.
We will find out if this team is in playoff shape in 2 weeks.

South is a mess and winner there could end up 9-7
ATL is at 7-4 and has a real shot at going 3-2 in the last 5. They beat GB in head-to-head.

California just passed legalization too.
Can we worry about winning the next game first?
Why should we?
We can run the table.
Now we're jinxed.
With the Cowboy win Thursday night, we are now officially eliminated from the top seed contention.
At this point I would just be happy to get in - no matter how it happens.
Vikings at 6-6 & they are terrified of Green Bay 5-6.
Didn't they start out at 5-0?
6 step program required.
Step 1 - Beat Eagles - COMPLETE!
Step 2 - Beat Texans - _______________
I thought going through that 3 game road stretch that we would beat TEN and Lose to WAS and PHL...still got the one win out of 3, but was pleasantly surprised Monday night.
I'd like to be able to expect a win and unpleasantly surprised by a loss.

NV as well. West coast!
I'm moving to Vegas. Always wanted to be a showgirl. Pink feather origins revealed.
I'm thinking we better hope 9-7 takes the division.

Absolutely! It doesn't pay to be thinking further ahead than the Texans game. We need to win this one. No other games exist besides this one in front of us.

Just another reason for me to hate the vikings.
Penalties are for the little people.

I still don't think so.
Most likely path to the playoffs is through the division. Detroit's win today sets them on a pretty easy course though. They got the Bears up next, enough said there.
But then they have the Giants, if they win that, then that very well may seal the Dallas #1 seed and look at that, Detroit plays Dallas the very next week.
So barring craziness they pretty much have the opportunity to wrap up the division by beating the Giants in two weeks, or the Packers in the final game. Meanwhile we probably need to win out, and we have the TRIGGER WARNING matchup with Seattle up next. Yeesh.
Crazier things have happened, e.g. the return of Matt Flynn and the mending of the collarbone culminating in that 4th and forever to Cobb but... I'm still not feeling it.
so you're saying there's a chance....
The Lions are still the Lions until they aren't.
My biggest worry is this team going 9-7 with the only loss down the stretch being to Seattle. However, the loins finish 10-6 and win the division. We don't get into the playoffs but because of the "strong" finish, nothing changes going into next year.
If we don't make the playoffs then there will be changes. It happened 8 years ago, the last time we didn't make the playoffs. I have confidence in this team though and I have confidence other teams will blow it. Giants will be 8-5 in a couple weeks and the Lions still have to play Dallas. If they lose to Dallas and we win out then the division is ours! Redskins could blow it also, they're currently losing. Tampa has Dallas and New Orleans back to back.
In other words, we are all Dallas fans going forward. I just threw up a little...
My biggest fear is that we make the playoffs. Much prefer the 1973 to 1988 years.
My biggest fear is finding out I have an unknown love child that struck it rich writing kids books in Zihuatinejo and he won't take my calls.

No, we still want Dallass to lose to force them to play against the Loins because I can't see the Loins losing before they play the Cowpokes and the Cowpokes could have it all wrapped up before they play the Loins which would mean they would be resting players and give the Loins an easy win

That's 1.
That's 2.
This coming Thursday night game between KC and Oakland should not be taking place in 4 days. That's too big of a game for either team on a short week.
This Thursday night BS has to end. It's garbage football all year and then games that really matter at year end are watered down over a money grab.
