Tonight's game was an anomaly for the Packers.  I hated to see Rodgers get hurt because you want to beat the best when they're at full strength (and I think Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL, better than Brady, Manning and my QB).  Fortunately, you guys are going into your bye week, so you'll come out of it better and stronger and reclaim the top of your division.  Detroit is too damn lucky to me.  Their luck will run out down the stretch and the Pack will have another NFC North title.  Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Agree, Bulaga has digressed as well. Interior is solid, we are avg at best at tackle.  With #12 as your QB, I'm tempted to say that we should look their early in the draft instead of MLB.  I feel like MLB talent can be found later, but elite talent at T doesn't fall.

Elite talent at tackle, particularly LT, typically goes in the top half of the first round.

I'm worried.  If the playoffs started today at the half way mark, we are out. We are now 2 games behind DET as they hold the tie breaker.  We can maybe afford one more loss.

I really thought we were going to be a special offense this year and maybe lose 2 games.  O line has been the sore spot on O and I have no idea what I was thinking when I thought the D would improve.

Packers have spent two first round picks on offensive linemen, and have little to show for it. I don't know if Derek Sherrod's broken leg is still impacting his play, but since he's returned, he's contributed next to nothing. Bryan Bulaga is ok, but I think we all expect more from him. I hope he improves as he continues to move away from his injury. I hope Bakhtiari gets better, too, because this season, his penalties are really killing us.

I would really like to see Ted spend just a little bit to improve the offensive line. There have to be some free agent O linemen that would like to come to Green Bay, and block for Aaron Rodgers, and open holes for Eddie Lacy. There are few teams in the league who can match our skill players. The offensive line is the only thing from keeping this offense from being absolutely dominant every single week.

Congrats on the win, bro.

Calm your tits. Det opens after the bye with Miami, At Arizona, At NE. They were given 2 gift wins by teams in NO and ATL that imploded.

GB's bye comes at a perfect time. They will heal up. A ton of season left.

I actually liked the Julius Peppers touchdown play, I was surprised it wasn't a jump ball though. He's a freak, it was a mismatch for a 6'7" freak athlete vs a 5'11" average CB. Didn't mind that.

I didn't mind the onside kick either, if we had gotten it then we set ourselves up nicely to possibly got up by 10. It was a ballsy move.

Only reason those plays are dumb is because they didn't work. If they worked then McCarthy is a folk hero with big meaty clackers made of steel.

Onside kick was close, I'll at least grant that one, but I didn't like the Peppers play at all. HAve him out there as a decoy? Fine, but to throw to him? Guy is a LBer/DLineman for a reason and not a WR. Now wasn't the time to get cute. Go to your WR's who you know have good hands. I mean, the ball was there, but he failed to catch it beause he's NOT A RECEIVER. They needed to get 7 as often as possible, not 3. Try that vs some junk team, not vs a Saints team who has an explosive offense. Can't be dicking around in the red zone vs a team that you know you'll have to put up points against

I'm not worried by Detroit at all, especially with Megatron out. They always lose at Green Bay. If we are tied with them late in the season, we have them at home in week 17. That's a gimme win for the Packers.

The Packers will win the division. I am not going to guarantee it, but it's pretty close. We only have 3 road games left, and two of them--Minnesota and Tampa Bay, should both be wins. The Buffalo game is the only other one. I think we are at least 2-1 in those three. Chicago, Atlanta and Detroit I think we beat at home. That's ten wins there. That leaves New England and Philadelphia. A week ago, I wouldn't have worried about New England, as their offense had been inconsistent. But Gronk is healthy again, so that will be a tough match up.

I think realistically, this team is looking at 11-5. The key to our season will be getting healthy headed into the playoffs. If Shields is healthy, our pass defense is a lot better. The inside linebackers worry me, but I think Lattimore looked a little gimpy out there tonight. He's an improvement over Hawk/Jones, so he needs to be healthy, too.

I am most concerned by our offensive line. I think that as the line goes, so, too, do the Packers.

That's why I hated the on-side kick.  The chances of getting it were less than 50/50 and you're possibly giving a short field to a quarterback you have no clue on how to stop.

I understand that point of view, but I think that mentality should be reserved for when you are out manned.  We are the better team. We don't need trick plays to put up 45 on the Saints.

Yep.

I have a fan!

Sadly  I have an image in my head of you "refreshing" your computer (while listening to Fleetwood Mac) over and over to capture my posts. Notice the tone of them wasn't "Fire MM.".... "Fire TT"....."Season's over."......"Why am I a miserable sack?"

Take notes.

And if you send a SSAE, I'll send you my autograph.

"I have an image in my head"

Of COURSE you do!!! It is so cute how you call other posters "Eyores" BEFORE the game starts, then proceed to whine about the team DURING the game while it's still close, then try to deflect it back to other posters when it's over.

"Notice the tone of them wasn't "Fire MM.".... "Fire TT"....."

Notice NO ONE said that. But you love to dog on other posters that post the very same things that you do. Own it comedienne. Have a great day BK. I'm a fan!!!

Bold face!

You like me!

Phaedrus, I think you'll note that I have actually never provoked you, because quite honestly, you scare the crap out of me.

I can handle antiworst, he's just a cranky old man like me, but you? Not gonna poke that nest of bat-schyt crazy demons----and I mean that in as nice a way as I can put it.

For me, it's all about the classics:

I don't really want to get into a pissing match with you Blair Kiel, but that last paragraph is pure BS and you know it. You lurk in the game threads and POUNCE whenever someone even suggests something that isn't all butterflies and kisses. I understand getting pissed off at the people who only show up when the Packers are losing, but I would bet they aren't even Packer fans to begin with.

But you like to lump everyone into the same pile and start with the "whiner", "piss pants", etc. sophomoric name calling if someone even questions a play call. To be honest, you're the worst kind of fan. You seem to want to accept anything that is in front of you and expect others to do as well, almost like Cubs fans. I prefer fans that demand the best. Fans of a team are like family...we can denounce them, but don't let fans of other teams do it.

So now you're now proclaiming that the games really don't matter, that you have a happy life, and question other people's "mental state of happiness"? Jesus Christ, BK, you started a goddamned THREAD on it! https://packers.timesfour.com/t...elp-blair-understand

Your obsession isn't with the Packers...your obsessed with being right. I would rather question a call/play and be proven wrong because my team came back and won the game. You, on the other hand, really don't care if the Packers win. You just want to be able to say, "I told you so!" That's what you're obsessed with.

But now since we're on a 3 game losing streak, you want to take on this "it really doesn't matter that much to me since I have a life and none of you do" persona? Really? Sorry, you don't get to do that. Just because you haven't gotten an "I told you so" moment in a month doesn't allow you to all of a sudden pretend you don't give a schit.

I, like other Packer fans on this board, watch the Packers because it's 3 1/2 hours of watching your team play and to have some bragging rights with co-workers, family, and friends. Most of us, if not all, have "lives" outside of the Green Bay Packers. The difference is we're upset that our team isn't winning. YOU'RE upset because YOU aren't winning.

BTW, you're right about Newhouse. He sucks. Have a good day.
