Speculation.....

Yeah, the issue is Lawrence in a city/team that’s an unholy mix of Cleveland and Florida.

Plus, the $203 million cap hit would be impossible with a $272 million cap.

WI evidently doesn't care about the lost income...
In AZ I have this place within walking distance.
Open 24/7 with a grow room and an infused menu,

Same here in Colorado (I don’t imbibe) , I have a funny story tho.  When I get guests from Wisconsin they usually want to check out the stores.  It is quite the process to get in and order, 2 ID checks to start and then because of the many strains, potencies and effects of todays weed the clerk asks the purchaser what he or she is looking for.  My friend not knowing this was unprepared to answer,  so, when asked β€œ are you buying this for pain relief, or to help you sleep or to enhance sex or be more creative”. He replied, I like to watch hockey.

The clerk recommended something appropriate, he bought it and will be watching tonite.  With a buzz.

Do not get it. And I guess we aren't the only ones.

I think the Rams want to keep him and Stafford wants to stay but they adjusted his contract before last season so his 2025 cap hit is $50 million.  They’re going to have to adjust his contract for β€˜25 to make the numbers work.

Giving Stafford permission to talk to other teams will let both sides figure out what his market value is next season.

AR being a free agent is probably good for the Rams because AR could be the Rams plan B which might drive down Stafford’s asking price. The Rams would be fools to think that they’d be better off with AR next season as opposed to Stafford, but AR would definitely be a solid plan B.

It is what it always was...a ploy to get a new contract.

Why call it a ploy? Stafford wasn’t being sneaky or dishonest. The Rams let him talk to other teams to find out his market value. The Raiders surely knew landing Stafford was a long shot but they decided to kick the tires anyway.

Where did it was sneaky or dishones? It was a plan that worked. He didn’t want to leave, he wanted a better deal and used the threat of leaving to get it. Business 101.
