For all the GOAT Coach blather about Unfrozen Caveman Coach, the ONE knock against him is that his assistants have flopped at every opportunity.
How McDaniels ever got another shot after that crap in Indy is a head-scratcher.

It's kind of like Brees and Brady are going to play until one (or both) are carted off the field forever.

If you are making 30 million-plus a year and the rules changes have made it so you can't hit a QB low, you can't hit him near the head, and you can't land with your weight on him, the injury risk is about 90% less than even 10 years ago. It's hard to walk away from 30 million-plus a year playing a position that the rules make safer to play than any other on the field other than kicker or punter. As long as they don't try to scramble, the worst injury they're likely to get is some bruised ribs.

If the rules had been this way before, guys like Marino, Favre, Aikman, S. Young, Montana, etc. would have all played a lot longer. For one, they've wouldn't have had the injuries and concussions they had. Also, the fear that a guy like Reggie White or JJ Watt is just going to drive you about 5 yards backward into the turf isn't there anymore. Favre quit because he was scared of getting hit like that. He wouldn't have to worry about it much now.

Got the Vikings - Texans here. It's been a pretty good game and I'm good with either outcome. A Vikings loss is always OK but I wouldn't mind seeing them pick up a W here to keep them out of the top 10 of the 2021. I mean it won't matter anyway if they don't fire Spielman.

MM's Cowboys - man, he's already got his stamp all over that team.

Cards - what's going on there? They looked so good and now it's looking like back to back losses to the Lions and Panthers??

It worked, but why did the Lions go for 2 to make it a 6 point game? I'm doing other things and wasn't watching, but that makes very little sense. If you want to risk it and go for 2 for a win, wouldn't you do it after the tying TD?

So the Lions are down by 14 late.  They score a TD to cut to a one possession game.  Instead of taking the PAT, the go for two to cut the lead to six, if converted.  Lions make the 2 pt and now trail by just 6.  I guess Patricia said F'it! Go for the win.

The Dallas defense is not good. How much of that is on MM is not clear. Mike Nolan is the DC.

Letting the Browns hang 48 points and 500 yards on you is not a good look.

The crazy thing is there are still over 3 minutes left in that game. Cowboys are very likely to score again and get a chance at an onsides kick.

I mentioned before. This Dallas coaching staff is virtually the same as the 2005 SF Niners. Mike Nolan was the head coach Mike McCarthy was the OC. You can look it up.

The fact that the Saints, who constantly are mortgaging their future salary to extend their star players contracts, gave Hill 16 million to play this year is mindboggling. Unless Payton is planning on Brees not playing every game and feels that Hill is a star QB in waiting.

Not quite.
