@EmmanuelAcho

#Cowboys fans, your defense is terrible because your D. coordinator shouldn’t be an NFL D.C!
Mike Nolan (DC) hired Mike McCarthy in ‘05 as his OC w/49ers.
Nolan hadn’t been a DC since 2014.
In his 3 seasons as Falcons DC. They ranked 24th, 27th, & LAST.

Mac is surely going to miss the milquetoast Wisconsin press.

In case you all forgot the 2005 Niners coaching staff.....

2005 San Francisco 49ers staff
Front office

{{{front_office}}}

Head coaches

Offensive coaches

Defensive coaches

Special teams coaches

Strength and conditioning

Looking at the video, that's a tough call on Harrison Smith. He's going low and Fells starts to fall over. Smith was aiming for his midsection and ends up hitting his head because Fells is going down. I get the 15-yard penalty, but don't agree with the ejection. He wasn't headhunting.

Smith is a viking. The entire viking team should have been ejected.

They were down by 4 TD's -- it's bad coaching to hand the ball to Zeke when you're down by that much in the 4th Q. Zeke with 12 carries on the day.

This is going to be a reoccurring theme for the Cokeboys because their defense is turrible.

What MM should be doing is feeding zeke early & often to keep his defense off the field & avoid getting into a 4 touchdown hole.

The thing that's likely to get MM in the most trouble there long-term is his loyalty to assistant coaches that are leading underperforming units. The loyalty is an admirable personal trait, but his inability to move on from special teams coaches and from Dom after it was clear to even casual fans that the team needed to move on cost them many times.

As Boris points out, the staff in Dallas is very similar to that of the 2005 Niners and Mike Nolan hired MM as his Offensive Coordinator back then. Mike Nolan ha been one of the worst DCs in the league recently if you look at his performance in Atlanta before coming to Dallas. MM needs to move on from him, but will he? I'm guessing not.

Dallas is not Philly, Boston, or New York, but the Cowboys always get national press and it is going to be very interesting to see how Mac handles the highly increased scrutiny of a truly inquiring press that is actually willing to question his "wisdom" as opposed to the handful of compliant beat writers who trekked to NE Wisconsin and willingly regurgitated his nonsense to the Green and Gold faithful year after year after year.

I suspect Mac will be wishing he was back among the handful of local scribes and fielding another irrelevant, feel good, softball question from the likes of a Wilde sooner than later.

Couple of my favorite articles so far.

Just wanted to point out the Texans are now 0-4 - They traded next years first rounder to the Dolphins (who need a QB, I guess)

Tua?

Yeah I know, but we have precedent recently for teams taking a QB high (Cardinals) then drafting another one (Kyler Murray & Josh Rosen) - Rosen is now on Tampa Bay's PS

I know FitzMagic has the respect of the locker room, but if Tua can play....why isn't he playing?? Now that the Dolphins are 1-3....what are they doing with Tua?

I agree the fins aren't going anywhere so why not play him?  However, I  haven't kept up with Tua but maybe he isn't full speed yet after his injury at Bama?
