I'm thinking Hundley, Grayson and Petty are the second tier of QBs and that's always a crap shoot, with Manion, Carden, Bennett and Bridge in the third tier. One of the second tier, Hundley would be my guess, may go to a team at the end of Round one following a trade in order to lock him in for an extra year, and somebody reaches for another, Grayson IMO, in the second. Then all bets are off. Maybe teams have learned more restraint when trying to find QBs but I feel we've seen too many examples to the contrary to make that call.

My latest mock. This is without trades, obviously, which I think are quite likely to happen...

30: R1P30

 ILB   STEPHONE ANTHONY CLEMSON 6-3 / 243 lbs. 4.56-40

62: R2P30

CB   RONALD DARBY FLORIDA STATE  5-11 / 193 lbs. 4.38-40

94: R3P30

RB   JEREMY LANGFORD MICHIGAN STATE 6-0 / 208 lbs. 4.42-40

129: R4P30

TE   JEFF HEUERMAN  OHIO STATE 6-5 / 254 lbs. 4.8-40

166: R5P30

DT   XAVIER WILLIAMS  NORTHERN IOWA  6-2 / 325 lbs. 5.08-40

206: R6P30

CB   CRAIG MAGER  TEXAS STATE 5-11 / 201 lbs. 4.44-40

210: R6P34

 QB   CODY FAJARDO  NEVADA 6-1 / 223 lbs. 4.63-40

213: R6P37

 ILB   TREY DEPRIEST  ALABAMA 6-0 / 254 lbs. 4.92-40

247: R7P30

 OT   ERIC LEFELD  CINCINNATI 6-6 / 310 lbs. 5.08-40

This is an over-rated quarterback class all the way from round one to round seven.  Because of that it's going to be pretty much a complete crapshoot once Winston and Mariota are off the board.  Hundley's probably the third highest graded QB and I wouldn't be suprised if he went high in the second round and I wouldn't be surprised if he went in the fourth round.  Only teams desperate for quarterbacks should be picking one in the first five rounds.

As of today I would project the QBs to go in the following rounds:

Jameis Winston/Florida State = top 5 pick

Marcus Mariota/Oregon = top 5 pick

Brett Hundley/UCLA = round three

Sean Mannion/Oregon State = round four

Garrett Grayson/Colorado State = round five

Bryce Petty/Baylor = round five

Brandon Bridge/South Alabama = round six

Bryan Bennett/Southeastern Louisiana = round seven

Hutson Mason/Georgia = round seven

Cody Fajardo/Nevada = round seven

Ted likely cares about character but I don't know if he'd really care that much about a DUI.

It still is a pretty significant development because if Trae Waynes, Jalen Collins and Kevin Johnson are all picked ahead of the Packers, there is a pretty good chance that Williams would have been Ted's favorite remaining CB.

Sometimes a DUI is just a DUI, but a month before the draft it is a strong indicator that the player may not get the whole 'professional accountability' thing.

Dumbass.

Based stictly on the quality of the players, I'd take Johnson ahead of any of the linebackers.  I would take Kendricks or McKinney ahead of Jones.

But Ted most likely goes linebacker with the first pick.  He has at least put a bandage on every position other than inside linebacker.  I don't think he'll consider the option of passing in round one and picking up an inside linebacker later in the draft, there potentially is just too great a falloff in terms of quality between the end of round one and the end of round two.  There is always a chance that Ted is in love with one of the linebackers in the next batch and is content with drafting that player at the end of round two or three and confident that player can step in and play right away...but I don't see it.

We need CB, D-Line, O-Line, TE, OLB & yes obviously ILB.

I assure you Ted isn't "locked in" to take a LB'er in round 1.

Some of you forget we already have 1 ILB. His name is Clay Matthews.

Ted will do what he always does....BFPA

Normally I would agree with this, but this is a unique situation  This is a team that was 4 minutes from away from the Super Bowl with a 97% chance of getting there and playing a team we had already manhandled in the regular season.  There is really only one missing piece on this team, ILB, and it is not just a weak link it is missing entirely.  It is a black hole void on a team that is set everywhere else (almost).

This is not a time to get cute. If there is a high quality ILB there at #30, you take him for this team, and then you bet on them to win it all.  We only really "need" one thing.  Get it.

I think the 2015 team will have to be different than 2014's team.  Time is linear, the NFC north and the league has changed.  They need more than just to fill a hole and hope everything else plays out the same.  They will adjust.  Isn't that what the self scout analysis is supposed to help you ascertain: define reality and compare to where the league is heading? That said, I don't disagree with the need at ILB.  I sort of agree with Boris' priority but here's my view on this Easter afternoon:  ILB and CB (outside) are the two highest priorities.  I would expect these would be addressed by round 5, because I also expect TT to take BPA.

Things I think would be interesting would be a list of toys/nice to haves (3rd down receiving RB, Down the seam TE, DL, and OT), later round projects(S, CB, and potentially QB) and special teams (OLB types).  All of these will be adjusted when they get a view of the players as they report on 4/20 (strength and conditioning and individual workouts).

I also wonder if this is the year that TT will have much more competition for undrafted free agents.  I think ST and projects could also be included in those players.

Christ I sure hope not!

Its either count on a guy with a year in the system or count on 3 rookies.

He was projected by a lot of scouts to be an ILB.  TT used a 4 on him and he has had a year in the system to develop, bet your ass he is in the plan.

I did a draft for the Vikings, tried to make it as realistic as possible:

For the record, the computer gave the Packers McKinney, Johnson, Jeff Heuerman, and Ameer Abdullah with the first 4 picks.
