Not sure I’d consider beating a Rams team at home with a 4th string QB much of an accomplishment.   We all know if Stafford played he probably would have carved up the defense.

Disagree.....They crushed the Rams this year 20-3 & Jaire was possessed in that game. Plus if we've seen one thing, Joe Berrys defense plays well vs. good QB's. They beat Detroit and KC and obviously Dallas......and Justin Fields! 😃TWICE!!

Why does the team that fumbled get a "benefit" and the ball at the 1, in your scenario?

Just like a punt through the end zone. Touchback. I like the rule.

If it happens in the field of play the offense gains a few yards and keeps possession. I know the rules and all, but it's so punitive.

Just read something that said the talk among the player meetings in the locker room after the game was how they were motivated to get after it during the offseason. Talk can be cheap, but the pups may have learned what it takes to win.

It reminds me a bit of a story from hockey: The Islanders had just won their fourth straight Stanley Cup over the Oilers in 1983. As Gretzky and his teammates walked past the Islander locker room, they saw the Islanders bruised and battered, not celebratory. Right then, Gretzky and his teammates realized exactly what it took to win.

I expect the puppies to work all off-season together like Brady and Gronk and Edelman used to do. Thousands of reps. Something 12 never did.

Rodgers went through this in the offseason after winning the SB.  That was the one where the owners and NFLPA took forever to get a new CBA done.  Drew Brees was being lauded by the media for bringing all his receivers together for group workouts since team facilities were closed, while Rodgers did no such thing.  Those two teams met in the opening game of the season, and we know how it went.

And Rodgers threw it back in the faces of the butthurt media corps in the post-game presser.  (They, of course, richly deserved it.  They shit all over things they dislike, and then have the temerity to complain when somebody reminds them of how wrong they were.)
