Best guess GOLDIE, he will still be there when we playum in the Big 10 Championship Game Saturday December 1  at Indianapolis

unless they are found to be in violation of Title 9  which states a college or university which receives federal funding may be held legally responsible when it knows ABOUT and IGNORES sexual harassment  or assault in its program, that would open up a whole new can of worms

It is quite obvious  Meyer lied at the Big Ten media day and the Big Ten powers will not like that. Trump may get away with telling lies but Meyer will not.

Wanna bet?

and crap, you’re right...Ohio State Football is one of the gods of college football.

Urb is Urb

A complete lying dirt bag means to an end guy

He pulled a lot of **** at Floriduh and is likely pulling the same or worse **** at O$U

shocker

Maybe he will find religion or better yet come down with “health problems” or step away to “spend more time with his family”

****ing douchebag

Ok as many of you know I am a Badger fan stuck in SW Ohio about an hour from Columbus.  I can say this Urban Meyer is a god here but I don't know if OSU can keep him with the PR nightmare they have on their hands.  Apparantly not only Urban knew but his wife (and OSU employee) knew as well and they either ignored it or covered it up.  So Urban is on administrative leave and rumors here are that Urban might be gone by this weekend.

Yup. They will come up with some lame punishment and he will keep going.

The NCAA needs to adopt a coaching “death penalty”. If these guys are going to rake in millions, when they are caught cheating or guilty of this kind of infraction, the man shouldn’t coach anymore. 10 years at least, multiple infractions lifetime. And the head coach is responsible for the conduct of his assistants.

You wanna “clean up the game”? There’s your start..

He’ll be gone.....or he better be.....his wife was talking to the x wife and said she’d tell her husband about the abuse.  Now I know she might not have..... the abuse was even happening after they were divorced!!!!!  And that King piece of crap should be in jail.

The fact that there is still even a question of whether Meyer stays suggests they are going to try to come up with a reason to keep him. He's been a hypocrite all along. He's teams in Florida were filled with some of the worst individuals you could imagine (other than Tebow). Aaron Hernandez had some things covered up when he was there so he could keep playing. The Pouncey twins have not exactly been model citizens. And that's the stuff we know about.

I'm guessing he'll pull out his "God" card and survive this. He's done it before.

The coach said that he was retiring because God had told him to quit and his daughter’s reaction was confirmation of this divine intervention.

Two days later, following an afternoon on the practice field, Meyer changed his mind and switched his retirement status to a “leave of absence.” He expects to coach next fall.

Meyer has a national championship, OSU is going to keep him on "leave" through this season and then quietly reinstate him in some capacity in late 2018 so he can do some recruiting. Then quietly fully reinstate him before NSD and hope there's a new controversy going on that will bury his reinstatement.

OSU opens with Oregon State and Rutgers. Oregon State was 1-11 last year and Rutgers was 4-8. The third game is at TCU which was the #9 team in the country at the end of last year. What do you want to bet that Urban gets a two game suspension for "failing" at media day?

When I think of dirtbag coaches in D1 football the first guy that comes to mind is Bobby Petrino.   Urban Meyer might be a close second.

What makes Urb worse is that he projects this image like he’s better and smarter and has a higher moral superiority than anyone else.  It’s all bull****.  Petrino doesn’t really try to hide it.  You know what you are getting from that guy.

I cant see how Meyer survives this scandal but then again it is Ohio $tate.  They skated their way out from under Tressel and Clarett so it would not surprise me one bit if they retain the guy.

Floriduh is still suffering from the Urb criminal hangover.  Nice legacy Meyer.

Something like this was my biggest fear with the Meyer hire. He’s very lucky to have a Tebow in the sense that he covered up a lot of that Florida garbage.

Regarding his current situation in my opinion he’s got to go. Chili is right there is too much else going on for the university to put up with this.  You are Ohio State you find someone.

I totally agree with this.  I do think that there is some sort of a probation thing they can nail coaches with that they can't coach for 5 years.  I could be wrong on this but I think thats what happened to Tressell for his time at OSU when players traded OSU things for free tatoos.

Anyhow, I completely agree that coaches should be given a life time ban under certain circumstances.  And if you really want to slam them don't give them the big fat settlement they get when their contract is terminated.

I for one predict that Meyer will be allowed to stay at OSU because the "independent investigation) OSU is doing will find somehow that Meyer is not guilty.  Mark my words on that one.

I see on Facebook all the sheep showing up.  Sorry but this while “rally” is wrong. It’s rigjt up there with dipstick Penn St that stood by Joe Pa.

One whole aspect I’m struggling with is his wife, as a nurse she holds an obligation to report.

Ya think......King’s ex wife told Meyer’s wife ALL THE DETAILS.....and Meyer’s wife said she’d  talk to Urban about it.  Now, she might not have, but......THEY KNEW.  They’ll say Meyer will be suspended, BUT HE WON’T EVER BE GONE from OSU.

ESPN reporting that Zeke Elliott's father went to the rally. Check out his quote. Keep in mind Zeke Elliott beat up his girlfriend.

In attendance at Monday's rally was Stacy Elliott, father of former Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott. Stacy Elliott came to the event wearing a replica of his son's Buckeyes jersey. Elliott said he participated because he loves Meyer and because he teaches respect for women.

Elliott's son, now a running back for the Dallas Cowboys, was suspended without pay for the first six games of the 2017 NFL season after the league investigated allegations from Elliott's ex-girlfriend that he was involved in "multiple instances of physical violence" against her.

Ohio State should have fired Urban two weeks ago. When it would have made sense. They didn’t.

Should happen any day now. But OSU is going to look like total **** after all this comes out.

And Urban is done.

I work with a big OSU alum/fan. One of the nicest guys to talk to on almost every subject. Great colleague, fair-minded, etc.

I brought up Urban at work this week and got a 5 minute rant on how this was a hit job by a reporter (McMurphy) with an axe to grind and how it was pretty clear that Smith's ex-wife was fabricating a bunch of this. I thought he was going to have a coronary (and I said nothing other than to ask him what he thought of this). And this is one of the calm alumni.

Urban is going to make it through this unless they have him on tape helping Smith stalk his wife. Even then, they'd probably claim he was trying to mediate the dispute and was the good guy.

I know a similar guy.  The day before the story broke he posted a hit piece on Jim Harbaugh, because Michigan, and couldn't get why I keep calling him a shill for his tOSU blinders.  Nice on most other issues, but a complete schmuck on tOSU.

I am absolutely surrounded by OSU fans who are the same way.  They have such blinders on that they think Urban can do no wrong. And these are the same fans who were all over Meyer for the program he ran at Florida and all of the problems they had down there.

They also believe there is absolutely nothing wrong with the players during the Tressell years trading/selling OSU memorabilia (while still on scholarship) for tatoos and other things.  I keep telling them that it is against the rules and the NCAA sees it as a recruiting advantage.  Their blinders truly baffles me and they think Ohio $tate has nothing but choir boys playing for them.

All I will say is that my hope is that this is finally the year that Bucky beats them in Indy I will truly enjoy coming to work the next Monday.
