If there was a "Mr. Packer" it would be Ray.
I had the privilege to meet him at my football banquet when he gave a speech when I was in maybe 7th or 8th grade. I played linebacker and he actually took the time to talk to me for a minute on how to best play the position. Really cool dude.
I just can't get over he has been gone nearly 20 years.
Ray was my favorite Packer, bar none.
As an Illinios Grad and a Packer fan for life, wI'll always be my favorite. Had the pleasure of meeting him and spending time with him twice which I will always treasure.
"Illinois Grad" is kind of like "Completion Certificate"...
.....says the UW-Milwaukee graduate (i.e. "What, that's a four-year school...who knew?"
Teasing..... one of Mrs. Blair Kiel's favorite work associates was an Illini grad who worked his way through the PGA Tour to become Colorado's AD....
Ray played in a charity basketball game in my small hometown back in the late '60's. Funny to see him in gym shorts.

Back in the day, I used to read Ray`s Packer report, that was the only way to keep up with the Packers down here in Teaxs.
On this day in 2005 a draft pick was made....
It was a very good day!
Viks passed 2x.
He fell in TT's lap.
Only player left on the consensus bored with a first round grade.
I can't believe Erasmus James and Troy Williamson didn't make the Pro Bowl.
More than 10 years ago. Theyβve been much better since.

I did think James was a player.....I was wrong.
But they will always have their Participation Trophy on the mantle.

Why the #! would anyone feel compelled to remind anyone on this board of that event?
Yeah thanks.....I think I'll scratch my eyes until they bleed now.
Allow me to offer some balance and perspective through celebrations of anniversaries.
Although the news is a little late, it's no less note-worthy. Or enjoyable!

Man, what I would give to have Raji, Woodson, Jenkins, Collins and Matthew's and Tramon in their prime again. Thinking about it, though, Clark and Daniel's can give GB what Raji and Jenkins did, and Alexander will likely develop into an even better corner than Tramon. We're really hurting at OLB and safety, though.

Every day in Vikings history is the same.
This day in Vikings history: They suck.
Their fans certainly do.
History isn't taught in viking's schools because it's about the past, you know. The vikings' students aren't allowed to talk about the past and want to make it so no one can talk about the past when the subject is about vikings stuff.
