I note with a touch of melancholy that another football season is coming to an end. I love/hate this time of year.
Now, on to the real games this week:
CAR (4-12) at ATL (8-8)
The only intrigue is whether the Falcons win and keep their slight playoff hopes alive, or if reality finally slaps 'em in the face.
Scoreboard watching will definitely be in play at the stadium.
WAS (11-5) at DAL (7-9)
This was a tremendous rivalry in the '70's and '80's, and the games were fun to watch.
Now, I'm reduced to hoping DallAss will win, and that leaves an awful taste in my mouth. But, I've gotta do it since it would make a huge difference to the Packers.
NO (5-11) at TB (9-7)
The Bucs have been playing well, winning 4 out of their last 5 games, and shouldn't have a problem handling the 'Aints.
Playing at home and becoming the NFCS champs provides plenty of motivation.
SEA (9-7) at LAR (10-6)
This game looks like a good matchup, and could be one of the better games this week.
It has a bit o' intrigue as well; if the Rams win and lock up the #3 seed, and we move back up to 6th, they would be our first round opponent.

I know, so hard to believe thereβs only one regular season game left. Wow where did the season, and year go for that matter.

What if Seattle wins?
From our friends at espn:
The Lions, Eagles, Vikings, Packers, Commanders and Rams have all clinched spots in the playoffs. The final spot will be the winner of the NFC South -- either the Buccaneers or Falcons.
I been waiten all day to see Carrie's thighs
Enough! Jeff Daniel's now? Start the damn game!

I wouldn't mind hearing them either.
Lions D is playing it right vs Darnolds
Jared Goff just sits back there and scans the field over and over on every dropback. He hardly ever gets hit. Same thing for Darnold.

Is that good?
In year 2, Gibbs has pretty well justified his selection, as a RB, at 12th overall.
Z makes his 1 play!

It would have been a waste on a team without the OL they already had. Just like how Barkley has looked behind the Eagles line, but would not have been worth the money for the Giants with their OL.
Looked like should have been delay penalty.

That's more than LVN or Gary make.
Z. Smith for a 5th rounder. Gutey would never do something like that.
Hockenson was open.
Yup. Pressure on Darnold is tge way to win
And now that Darnold has been pressured, he becomes MUCH less affective.
Darnold with an overthrow & would've been a 1st down to Hockenson. He actually did that a few times vs. Packers but receivers made the circus catch.

I can't remember the last time a Packers WR was that wide open.
That Lion OL gives Goff so much time to throw... I'm envious.
And Darnold back to doing Darn-old things again. How did Hockenson get so wide open and he miss him?
Vikings could've used Rodgers on that play π€
Wow!! Van Ginkel just destroyed Gibbs and then Goff gets sacked. Unreal.
Vikings ball at the 50
Van Ginkel & Greenard were damn good signings by the Vikes GM.
Too many Badgers on these teams
That Minnesota edge rusher opposite Van Ginkel didn't make the Pro Bowl, but Gary did?

Cuz he's Sam Darnold. That's what I'd thought he'd do more of vs. Green Bay but of course other than the INT to Billy Ray Valentine, he was excellent vs. Green Bay
It's amazing what good edge pass rushers can do for a defense.
Maybe LVN will show enough next year to get the Gary-like extension and become mediocre.
If you've never heard Van Ginkel talk, it's nothing like you'd expect from the way he plays.
Brian Branch doing more dirty things again
Nice to have receivers with a catch radius.
Jefferson makes those tough catches look routine.

I'd settle for more receivers that just catch passes that hit them in the hands. Jefferson is a completely different level. Maybe top 10 all time
Whiff!

Kerby Joseph is worse
Stop
Iβd take both
Lions need to get St. Brown in the offense.
Yes thank you fake ref. That was Intentional grounding in the end zone and Lie-Downs got away with one
